Something like

Processor: Intel Dual Core
Mobo: Basic
Ram: 2GB
Graphic Card: Built In
Audio Card: Built In
Casing/Power Supply: Basic
HDD: 160GB also enough
DVD: No need RW also can

and

1 more unit more advanced system (budget RM2.3k without monitor)
- graphic & video editing
- movie recording & burning
- normal gaming, can handle 3D softwares
- AMD or Intel no preference, considering C2Q processor or AMD x3 above
- if can fit in small form factor (since HTPC) will be better
- at least 512mb gpc
- dvdrw
- HDD no need too big as i got external storage, so 320gb enuff
- RAM 4gb min
- pls recommend add-on for recording video (e.g. from astro/tv etc) either via gpc input or tuner card thingy
- pls recommend monitor (add to the budget) at least 19" or 20" lcd. if without monitor i will connect to 32" lcd tv hdmi ready
