Water tanks

hi,

i am currently directly connected to the main water feed. i dont like the lid type water tanks because they allow all kind of things to grow inside. after some research i found that US used pressurised water tanks (come with some sort of bladder) to store water in a hygenic way. like the pumps with the small pressure tank but larger. does anyone have a source for a 300l pressurised tank? i want to get one for the house. if you know of alternatives?

Help with TV-Out for Nvidia Geforce 8400GS

OK, I have a new system all is running fine besides TV-OUT. I have a S-VHS Cable connected to the card and selected "Force TV-Recognition". Rebooting shows the TV but no matter what setting I use, the TV remains blank. I tried it with both the Digital and the Analog Cable connected to the monitor, both attempts fail miserably.

Can anyone point me to a step-by-step guide or help to get the TV connected to I can watch videos on my TV?

Can I install a dedicated card for this if necessary?

thanks!

System: Windows XP SP2 (Pro)
Card: Geforce 8400GS 256MB RAM

i think i can still change the card if necessary...

MP3-CD Changer (10x) + FM Transmitter

Am changing my car's radio. In the process I can make a Kenwood KDC-CMP21V with FM transmitter / controller available to the highest bidder. The changer holds 10 disks, plays MP3, WMV and VCD. Unit still under warranty (only 4 months old). Switch can be done by original installer.

Transmission and all works very nicely only reason to let go is that the new radio will come with a built-in MP3-CD-Changer so i wont have any use for an additional CD-Changer anymore.

If you are interested please send an offer price.

FYI: The unit's sale price is around RM 5,000.

Emule throttling

Yesterday throttling was switched on on my port:

between midnight and 8 am I can up/down at full speed. Otherwise nothing will move with the normal emule-clients.

It seems changing ports etc. doesnt help - this throttling also affects P2P TV like AntsTV etc which is pretty sucky.

For emule there is a solution:

Upgrade to 47b the new official emule until the mod of your choice comes up with an obfuscation-mod. This obfuscation allows you to sort of encrypt the traffic and what can I say it works like a freaking charme - downloads are up to normal (high) levels throughout the day As for the upload you will see crappy upload until more people have changed to obfuscation. Upload to obfuscated clients works like a charm!

It's strongly suggested that you upgrade when you are using emule. The more users are upgraded the better the experience!

Note to tm.net:
Instead of trying to outsmart users either provide better bandwidth or officially put caps. I dont mind paying extra for an uninterrupted line but dont bullshit your customers. As soon as I get an alternative provider in my area I'll say bye-bye...

Emule Protocol Encryption *Please Read*

There are now emule mods available that include protocol encryption to thwart ISP traffic shaping. For those of you unfamiliar with traffic shaping, essentially it involves your ISP identifying and blocking traffic from popular p2p applications (Bit Torrent/Emule/etc). While there are not that many ISPs that do this right now, expect more and more ISPs to implement traffic shaping (as new CISCO hardware has P2P throttling built in standard). It has been widely reported that most ISPs in Italy have implemented traffic shaping, and a major service provider in Canada uses a particularly brutal brand. Often, as in my case, there are no alternative service providers to turn to because of monopolization of the market. I encourage everyone to consider using one of the emule mods that has encryption built in. The more users that use these mods and enable encryption, the better it will be for those of us living under throttling regimes, and ultimately for the community at large. I especailly would like to encourage releasers to try and make sure that at least someone sharing their releases is using an encryption enabled mod.

Currently there are two mods that use encryption:

Neo Mule V4.11b (0.47a) - http://anonym.to/?http://forum.emule-proje...showtopic=90121

http://anonym.to/?http://prdownloads.sourc...in.zip?download

and

Emule 0.47a Sion v0.9 By Loulach - http://anonym.to/?http://forum.emule-proje...showtopic=99208

http://anonym.to/?http://perso.numericable...on_v0.9_BIN.rar

this will work only if as many of you emule users switch asap. so if you want emule back, i suggest we all switch to either one of the two mods.

Webcache for emule

For emule and streamyx, i suggest you try to enable webcache with this proxy from streamyx:

219.94.87.123 port 8080

this will help reduce intl. traffic for tm.net and at the same time can potentially give you full blast speeds when u download packages from the proxy. this will be very helpfull for intl. shows etc.

why dont you try it out? if we can get enough people to use it, it will be a great help with popular files but we need lots of users for this. if noone uploads to the proxy it wont help (emule will take care of all that if the numbers are sufficient...)
