External HDD sometimes not recognized

i got 2 external hdd, both are PATA hdd..! sometime it keep showing " HARD DRIVE NOT RECOGNIZED" after plug in. Sometime i have to try for 30min to get it work

I wondering is my casing problem.. or my HDD problem..!!

Any comment??

hi,

Previously i using Vista home premium, due to HDD problem, i bought a new HDD to replace the old one. Since i do not have the window vista CD, so i just borrowed my friend XP CD and installed to my new HDD.

I only have the recovery CD that i burned out when i bought my laptop. CAN I USE THE RECOVERY CD TO FORMAT MY LAPTOP SO THAT MY WINDOW CAN BACK TO VISTA?????

hope u guys can help me ASAP.. coz i did not activate the window XP and its gonna due in this 3 days ..!! OMG!!!

i planning to buy a kingston 4gb SDHC card.

i heard that many in the market is not genuine kingston.. most of them is replica from china?

how do we differentiate it?

i saw from lelong.com ... a guy is selling RM39 for the kingston 4gb SDHC. So tmr i will visit to their shop.

hope sifoo here can teach me how to differentiate.

i consider a newbie in DSLR .. recently went to shoot some event but the white balance it out!!

like below:
the WB is too warm.! and unnaturally red!

just want to know how u all set the white balance. Do u always bring a white balance cap along?

if u have other best method, hope u can share with us.

type: canon 50mm 1.8 II + 55-200 IS
price : 300 + 700 (second hand)
reason: 50mm 1.8 is sound like a must for CANONers. 55-200 quality and highly affordable tele..

i am a totally newbie in DSLR camera. recently using normal digital camera and tend to change to DSLR
