Restart the PC, no changes

I've tested each card as single and both of them work just great..
Also tested these cards on both slots.. everything was fine..
Checked the GPU core, both of the 65nm revision core..
Use the Forceware 177.83 for Vista 64bit (think so, dun remember..)
Changed the order of slots

Help me out here..

BIOS couldnt detect my DVD Writer

Hi again sifus!!

I had this problem with my frens laptop. His laptop previously had a faulty dvd-writer, so he changed it by buying a new one. Then, he boot up his laptop and looking through the windows's device manager,it was installed and working perfectly. He even tried burning some dvdsn watch some movies,no problem at all.But then, after a few days, he decided to reformat his system and try to set up the boot sequence priority to his dvd writer only to find out his bios couldnt detect his dvd??? Its showing the ATAPI CD-ROM (None) where it was supposedly to show the dvd model into the ().

He left the bios and discard all changes and try to boot windows xp installation disc.. but the system ignore the dvd-writer contents..

So, could anyone explain whats happening here? and the best solution to allow him install a new OS.

Thanks!

E6600 Engineering Sample

Hello, I need some advice and explanation here.

I bought this CPU, Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 ES, and tried to installed into my second rig. (ASUS P5LD2-SE) The system boot up but the problem is, my mobo couldnt detect the cpu id.. (it didnt recognize the cpu model), so it remind me to update my bios. FYI, I already update the bios to the latest since before I bought this e6600, I used E2180. Plus, I checked the CPU compatibility in ASUS website and it shown E6600 there..

So, I flashed the latest bios and restart my pc. Still, the mobo couldnt detect the CPU type n ask to update my bios. Maybe the latest bios got a problem so I downgrade the bios version, to the original. STILL, THE MOBO COULDNT DETECT ITS ID?????

My next solution thinking that this mobo had a compatibility problem, looking for a new mobo.. Then I bought P5KPL mobo and installed the CPU into it.. Then, it still shown my cpu is not recognizable. All sifus out here, can u tell me whats goin on??

Is the CPU had a problem? Or is common for the mobo not detected the CPU for ES models?

I just bought a GALAXY 9600GSO OC ver yesterday, I installed it into my PC. After I installed all the drivers and extreme tuner, at the beginning, it only shows temperature of 60C...

But when i start the 3dmark06, it got stuck in the middle and i forced it to close using task manager. I check the extreme tuner the graphic card shows the temperature already at 98C??!!! I opened the side panel and I can even feel the heat without touching it...

I DIDNT OVERCLOCK the graphic card yet.. and all the clock speed at the default value..

What happened here??? I changed PSU but still the same problem occurs..
I disconnect some of the load, nothing changed..

Any idea ???

HELP! PC wont boot up...

Hi everyone, I need some help here..

My pc wont boot up!!
I did some cleaning this morning, clearing up the dust and rearranged the drives. I took out every little piece of the PC including mobo and PSU. Then, I put everyhing back together and try to boot it up. It didnt boot at first, so I thought maybe i missed out to connect any cable, and yes, i miss the 4pin connector for the mobo. I connect it, but still the pc wont boot.. Didnt see any response from the pc so i thought maybe the front panel pin connector were not correctly connected, so i checked it out through the manual and it were all exactly connected as in the manual. Then, I thought maybe the PSU got a problem so i disconnect some of the drives and try to boot it, AGAIN! still, no response.. I did a lot of test, been doing it by disconnecting the drive and even my graphic card and DIMM... in the end, nothing happened. So, my conclusion here, maybe my PSU is a goner..
Just now, I borrowed my brother's PSU, (Cooler Master, Extreme Power 380W), use it to supply my system.. still no response.. BUT, now the mobo onboard LED start blinking.(With my PSU, nothing at all)..

Im realllllyy out of idea now... dun noe what to test anymore.. Is my mobo is a goner??? It works fine before I took it out for cleaning...

So pleaasssee anyone...
help me out.. what exactly happened here??

My system:

ASUS P5LD2-SE
Intel Dual Core E2180
4x 1GB Kingston DDR2 667MHz RAM
LG DVD-WRITER
160GB SATA2 Western Digital + 80GB SATA2 Western Digital
Gigabyte 8600GT 256MB 128bit GDDR3
E-View 450W PSU (Cheap and low quality PSU, i know.. this is my second PSU since the first one blows)
