Greetings,

To my fellow members here, I am planning to develop a Visual Novel-like application for iPhone and later on might be focus on other smartphones (Nokia phones that using Symbian OS placed second in the list). What I want to gather in here are ideas for stories, some graphic artists and perhaps musicians. Honestly, it's a testing project for the company I am currently working with but this is solely my own project. Basically, the framework of the application will be on my side and I just need inputs like what I stated earlier. Of course if all goes well it will be made available on AppStore for sale. Don't bother about the sales now though To moderators out there, I hope you guys let this thread stay here in Anime Shrine as I believe otaku or otaku-in-denial here have more understanding about the stuffs I am talking about rather than other places.

Story
Anyway, shall I proceed to the first agenda which is story? I believe many of you have read fanfics and so on. You guys might have hidden talent in creating some nice stories. Well, of course ecchi stuffs like in those eroge is a no no (insert Kyon-kun dame dame picture here). My requirement for this part is a short but good story. Genre is still open for discussion. Shinn is suggesting a normal school life story (and then he said better for me to open a thread for this VN idea). While linkinstreet gave an idea of story where the main character was a normal person who was introduced to anime stuff by a friend and then gradually loving it. Perhaps someone like Hangmen could produce something bizarre? Anyone up for it?

Graphics
Backgrounds, scenes, characters and others. Certainly I can draw some stuffs but I do believe there are other people who are better than me like Fyonne, FlameReaper and Eccentrical. I am not asking this for free. There shall be some rewards although not much. This same applies to other parts like story and musics. Perhaps I may do some character designs but first I need a story so that I can relate them with it.

One of promising scene that Aoshi told me before is about getting late to school or something where the character still have a toast in the mouth while rempiting with a motorcycle.

Sounds and Musics
Musics. Perhaps I can use some free available songs on the net (not pirate la ish). But some of the musics are not available for profitable stuffs. Well, I don't know. Can someone compose music for this? On another note, I won't do voices for characters. As far as I can see, it would only making the apps filesize getting bigger. But if you insist, I alone can do the voices if you wish =x

Ah well, that's all I can think for now. Any critics are welcome. Most importantly if you guys could assist me in this matter. Thanks.

HDMI video card for PC?

I am thinking of connecting my PS3 to my PC so that I no longer needed to change the cables on my LCD everytime I switching between PS3 and PC. Apart from that, I also can record my gaming moments with the video card. However I am not so sure which video editing card that has HDMI capability. I know that Pinnacles have many kinds of TV/video cards that can record from cameras and such. I just want to know anything that can use HDMI. Enlighten me please.

Finally this old manga is getting an animated series. I am not sure the story for this animated series as the trailer looks like Afghanistan (the original manga was set in Vietnam if I am not mistaken). Kawaii animals in the war. I think some people would get attention to this.

These are drawings of Tsukasa based on various anime/manga out there. Personally I got the cheat code for each Tsukasa down here. For example, (3) is from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, (6) from Yotsuba&, (8) from Macross Frontier and (16) from Fate Stay Night. I believe you otakus could recognize most of it. Take this as how well your knowledge about animu out there.

Setting up Maxis 3G on Tytn II

Hello there,

I've just recently bought HTC Tytn II. As the phone can browse internet with its WiFi as long as it's connected to other network, I also want to set up 3G for the phone as well in case there might be no WiFi available in the time of need. But after browsing through the settings, I kinda lost on how specifically to set it up. The Maxis 3G site also doesn't have automatic setting that they can send through to my Tytn II. Below these are the settings that I need to put in:

Mobile Phone Enquiry

Hello there,

Currently I am undergoing a project for developing a mobile application. In our budget, we will allocate 3 mobile phones for development purposes. All 3 devices are expected to be from various models and brands (originals, not AP sets). For example, if Nokia N82 is chosen for the first one, the other two must be different brands or at least other brands. So, there are various models out there and I am not really sure which ones should I get. As I put there the budget for a phone is RM 2000, the overall budget for all phones are RM 6000 respectively. There are several choices in my mind which are Nokia N82, Nokia E61i, SE P1i, SE W960i, LG KS20 and some others (HTC and HP) for the time being. So I need some help for which kind of phones should I get. I need to be carefully choosing the models through verdicts out there and importantly your considerations. Ah, more over I pretty much like to have different OSes for all 3 phones too. As long as there's Symbian OS and also Window Mobile.

Ads that lead to lots of pop-up windows

One of the forum ads, which I believe related with the "Message Alert, You have 1 message waiting for you" or maybe I am wrong, made my browser crashed several times but not everytime. This is due to multiple pop-ups that resulting to multiple tabs opening and then the browser crashed after too many pages were opened. I was using IE7 and I did think that perhaps my browser has problem with it but Windows Defender and Avast Anti Virus found nothing wrong with the browser (and I just recently reinstalled my Windows XP). I hope admins and staffs can take a look about this matter.

P/S: Be advice that any poster that saying "change to firefox/other browser stuff" or "I have no problem with my firefox/other stuff, perhaps you should change your browser to firefox/other stuff" or "change your anti-virus/other stuff" or others that aren't helpful, I would gladly report it to our beloved staff goldfries or other staffs/admins.

Due to extensive brain damages with real life matters, along with my melancholic life and also the goodness from Morning Musume doujins I found earlier, I made this thread.

Have your ever experienced any stuff in your real life that pretty much similar to your experience? It's a rare thing but I am sure that you may had some situations that you can describe it well about its resemblance. Well, I start off with mine although it isn't that good. It happened 2 years ago. At that time, I had a co-curriculum class at my university which was horse riding. It's a great class where I met lots of fresh lolis who mostly were foundation students that just barely passed their SPM. That's not the point of my story though. No, it is not about bestiality anyway. I was with my classmates at the stables. I barely remember about what we were actually discussing but it's about coed stuffs; between women and men. This one girl talked much about men she likes and also girls she doesn't like. She also talking about girls behavior and habits (also about the body proportion as well). As we talked all along, the discussion became deep up until about body figure. She said that she hates girls who like to expose their body much although their body proportions aren't that great. Eventually, she did this;

Yup, her breasts are pretty much big and also the mole. From that moment I eventually remember the older Mikuru-chan from above pic. Haha, this sounds but yeah, I am practically bored. That's why.

First of all, im posting this from my phone. Ive the problem as in the title when i got the bsod screen. Now, my windows wont start. Even after ive fixed it using chkdsk through windows recovery console (win xp cd).

Anyway, im using sata hdd for my windows.

How to properly assess and place your new employee

Put 400 bricks in a closed room. with all of your new hires and close the door. Leave them alone for 6 hours, then analyze teh situation:

a. If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.
b. If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.
c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.
d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.
e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.
f. If they are sleeping, put them in Security.
g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.
h. If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.
i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.
j. If they have already left for the day, put them in Marketing.
k. If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.
l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in Top Management .

Finally, if they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, put them in Government.
