Hi all,

I have a job for you if you can;

1. Design + code a template for Joomla 1.5, to have a clue, it will look like joomla.org, just without the cloud at the top, i will provide you my sketch for this.
2. Design + code a template for image hosting site

Design : must look Web-2.0-ish

Coding : all coding is based on PHP and CSS

Hi,

I have small room for rent at Kelana Puteri Kondominium, Jalan SS7/26, PJ, Selangor, block E, 2nd floor.

Rent is RM270 + RM30 eletricity fix, 2+1 deposit, total for the first time is RM270 x 3 = RM810, utilities later, once you move in, if u feel the deposit is high, then u can negotiate with master tenant, available immediately.

Currently occupied by 3 person, 1 chinese couple at master bedroom, and myself at medium room, all working professionals.

Facilities;

1. Room comes in a stand fan, a bed and mattress, one ikea wardrobe.

2. Kitchen comes in with microwave, freezer, stove and washing machine.

3. Hall comes in with sofa, dining table, tv and dvd player, but currently tv is out of service, just left dvd player, i myself and master tenant currently have our own TV, also we have streamyx, sharing, wired based.

4. Condo itself comes with a park, swimming pool, cybercafe, squash, mini market, saloon and also laundry.

5. If you own a bike, parking is free, if you own a car, parking have to rent, you can search from the notice board available inside this condo, rental rates will be from RM110 - RM130 mostly with 2+1 deposit. You can park outside but it is not advisable since you will get a summon, and of course risking your vehicle to auto-theft and ramp by bus or mat rempit.

Convenience will be;

1. Easy access to LDP, Giant, McD, KFC, mamak stalls, foodcourt, One Utama, Sunway Pyramid.
2. It is a center location between KL and Selangor, so you have easy access to anywhere.
3. Feeder bus to LRT Kelana Jaya

Inviting a friend for a visit is OK, but not to stay there like tenants, we want to keep the privacy assured for all of us, if you need to bring friends, or BF to spend a nite with u, please inform us, we dont mind at all, we just need to know, in case something happens.

Streamyx and P2P - Take A Look Before You Speak

Well, situation is getting more complicated, so I will reply unofficially, dont ask who am I, I will not answer that question.

1. P2P Traffic Shaping - The UNLIMITED terms come to unlimited hours you online, unlimited download, download as may as you can, but when it comes the network stability, for company sake, tmnet have to do that, tmnet shape the traffic, not BLOCK it, multi-million voip company, other small provider, starts complaining on unstable data transfer thru tmnet backbone, fair and square, tmnet shape the speed on p2p since most of you keep it to the maximum for downloading porns and dvdrip, tmnet own the network, not you, so tmnet are the one whose responsible to keep it stable, what happen if tmnet remove the throttle one day?? the network will down, and who will scream on the phone when they cannot connect and receive error 678/676 ?? YOU!!

2. Wanna switch?? Think twice on their terms and condition, limited data transfer per month and monitored log on your connection, take a look more deeper into that t&c, dont you notice that they will take a law action against you if they find out that you doing something illegal on their network??

3. Most of you keep comparing tmnet with other isp, the often will be singnet, wahhh 10mb, so fast lor, but do you still remember that you can get caught and throw into jail for downloading something illegal?? dvdrip?? windows ?? microsoft software ?? tell me how many of you are downloading linux distros everyday?? Dont want to get you confuse, but just take a look into singnet simple t&c, notice that every action will get charged, and note that they dont stated that you will get caught using their high speed broadband to download illegal things, but their gov do, but do our gov??

4. Ahh you want to joint and open up your own ISP, one day when your network has been fully utilized by p2p users at the maximum speed, tell me what will you do to keep your network stable?? I will give you a list :

1. Limit their download to certain GB per month
2. Drop their connection
3. Stop future subscription
4. Limit the bandwidth on certain protocol

At last, you network will fail, not worth all the investment.

5. Let say tmnet cooperate with gov ( just like sg ) and all those giant IT companies like microsoft, norton, ea.com and open up the your connection log, guess how many of you will go to jail for downloading illegal things?? but do tmnet and our gov??

6. Most of you, when calling to the call center and scream on your connection problem, slow, frequent disconnection, got error connecting, have you check on your side?? How many of you know this :

6.1 New house and apartments build by the developer nowadays is equipped with parallel-ready line, do you notice it with that nicely build phone socket inside the wall?? Most of you did not, then you install Streamyx, after some time period when the signal goes weaker because of the parallel, your connection will drop, you call up and scream you got disconnected like crazy! Furthermore, you install your alarm also on the same line to save budget! Malaysian, pay less for the best!

6.2 Error 718 - how many of you know that this is the error generated when your dialer is allready corrupted ??

6.3 You are using router mode connection and when you cannot connect, you call up and then the agents ask you to disable the router mode connection and use manual connection,why?? Can you see the error generated inside the router?? When the agents trace the line status and it return UP, they will advise you to use manual connection to see what is the error code, but how many of you know how to?? Frankly, malaysian are illiterate but too proud to admit their weakness, use router mode connection but dunno how to troubleshoot when problem occurs, so how come??

6.4 How many of you know what is spyware and it's function?? How they get into your PC?? Spyware sucks all the bandwidth available for them to transmit the data you input so that they can transfer all available info to their server, they get inside via your cookies when you surf on porn and warez site! And after that, you call up and scream your connection is very slow, without even knowing that you are infected, and one more funny thing, you browse to your favourite site, and you cannot go in, timeout, you call up and scream cannot browse, without even pinging the site and do traceroute, ahh yes it happens, how many of you know how to traceroute in windows??

7. The last one, the hottest topic, inviting other players to come in and do business. You keep on saying tmnet monopoly everything and can do whateva it wants, so that's why you want other players to come in and fulfill your needs, oh yes unlimited everything, but can you act not that super dumb and think, who was actually start the bandwidth shaping?? the overseas isp rite?? then who actually you hope to come in and give you unlimited everything?? isp from mars??

That's for now, you malaysian are still lucky.

CCNA + RHCE + MCSE

Hello folks,

I want some opinion from you guys, since a lot of us here were from experienced professional, i think you guys might be able to help me sort it out.

I have been working in IT field for almost 9 years, now working as a lvl2 tech support for some it company, was born in terengganu where i definitely have no chance before to pursue any professional cert, now i'm here, in KL, where all the chance were at my fingertip, so i wanna ask you guys something before i proceed further..

As you know, 9 years in IT field makes me so familiar with IT terminology, so i'm thinking of pursuing CCNA + MCSE + RHCE, as you know, MCSE and RHCE definitely you can do a self-practice, buy 2 PC, install win2003 and redhat, and play with it, but what about CCNA where you need to deal with hardware?? I search on the net and found a simulator for it, but is it the same situation like real hardware that we use when we take a class?? I dont mind pour in some money for a simulator, but is it worth it?? because at the same time, i also wanna save, by playing with a simulator, we can set a time when we are really ready to take the exam, but by taking a class, it can take a maximum up to 2 years, but definitely, i want to pursue it asap, so what are your opinion??

1. Buy a simulator, play with it, then proceed with an exam at thomson prometric

2. Take class to play with real hardware + buy a simulator, when ready, quit class, take exam

3. Just take class, wait for 2 years for it to finish

So which is the best?? Really need your opinions, thanks

I would like to ask this question, although I have search from this forum on keyword "datacom" but I find that the answer is not enough for me to make the decision, I have been to their interview ( for Dlink project ), and still waiting for the answer next week, that is what the recruitment firm told me, so before they accept me, and I accept the offer, make a step to move out from my existing career, I would like a complete answer, so I really appreciate if you guys could help me out, my question will be :

1. What was it like working with Datacom?? Working environment ??

2. What about politic in workplace ?? Got control by one race ?? Not mean to be racist, but I have seen a lot of them in big companies.

3. What are the total amount of paycheck you can get each month??

4. What are chances for career growth opportunities??

5. Any other benefits like financial support for studies??

6. What are the region we need to support?? Worldwide?? Asia Pacific??

7. Recruitment firm told me that after probation period, I will work straight under Datacom, is that true??

8. Do we have to be a robot, follow script, or using an advance knowledgebase designed by experts??

9. What are the AHT for one call?? ACW??

10. How many calls in average you will need to attend in 1 day?? 40?? 30??
