Notebook needs to connect to Wireless Router?

Personal equipment
Modem: D-Link ADSL2+ Router (DSL-520T)
Router: Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router (WRT54G)

Hello all, i'll cut short all the crap and heres my problem. Currently i have a wireless router that connects 2 desktop computers (with cable, LAN). And now i got a new notebook and i need to go wireless in my house but i cant connect to the wireless router i had...

I already tried different solutions, one of them was Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Control Panel, i used manual assign network key and i used USB method. Later on i plug into my laptop to auto configure it, and it does have my network name (SSID) in the Wireless Network Connection Properties. But when i open Wireless Network Connection it doesnt show my network name in the list (theres another wireless network in range in the list which named WIFI and the signal strength is excellent and i believe it is from my wireless router)...

I've tried many things i even google search and i found this article:
Connect a Laptop to a Wireless Router Using a Windows Operating System

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Step1 Purchase a wireless router that fits your needs and price range.

Step2 Follow the router's manual to set up the router and its Internet connection, which will probably require connecting a wired client to the router. Once the wireless router is set up, the wired connection is no longer necessary. However, it's best to leave the wired client connected if it's a separate computer from that on which you're going to set up WiFi. If something goes wrong, you can access the administration interface again.

Step3 Gather information from the setup process. In order to set up the wireless client, you will need to know the service set identifier (SSID), the Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key and the channel and mode.

Step4 Boot up the laptop and plug in the WiFi card. This will not be necessary if your laptop has an integrated WiFi card.

Step5 Install any drivers needed to use the WiFi card. Insert the disc that came with the WiFi card and follow the on-screen installation process. Most discs will trigger a new hardware wizard that makes installation extremely simple.

Step6 Double-click on the "WiFi Connection" icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop screen.

Step7 Click on "Properties."

Step8 Select the "Wireless Networks" tab.

Step9 Use the "Add" button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn't in the "Available Networks" section.

Step10 Click on "Configure" when you see your network's SSID in the "Available Networks."

Step11 Enter your network's SSID and WEP key.

Step12 Click on "Start," then choose "Connect To" and "Wireless Network Connection." Your computer should now be able to access the WiFi network. If the WiFi network is connected to the Internet, it should also be able to connect to the Internet.

For Step4 and Step5, am i missing the WIFI Card? As i know present notebooks comes with intergrated build in WIFI Card. What am i still missing now? Your help will be very much appreciate, please advise me...
