Where is Connectify? I installed it, but I don’t see it.
Connectify is running in the Notification Tray next to the system clock. It might not be visisble, because Windows 7 has cleaned up the Notification Tray to hide the icons that you don’t frequently use. If you click on the small white triangle it will show all of the icons, including the Connectify radio wave icon (circled in this picture).
To ensure that Connectify stays visible, select “Customize”. Find Connectify in the list of programs and select “Show icons and notifications”.

Now what? How do I share my connection?
To get started, click on the Connectify logo in the Notification Tray.
1. Select the Internet connection you wish to share
2. Choose a name for your new wireless network
3. Choose a wireless passphrase
4. Press the Internet Sharing button to turn on your wireless network
5. Now, from your other devices, you can see your wireless network. Choose to join it, and enter the wireless passphrase to connect.

What versions of Windows does Connectify run on?
Connectify runs on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 r2, both in either 32 or 64 bits.

Does it run on Windows Vista or Windows XP?
Sorry, not at this time. Connectify depends on improvements made in Windows 7 to operate. Frankly, Windows 7 is such a big improvement, that we suggest you’re better off upgrading than waiting for us to get all this working on an older version of Windows.

Do my friends need Windows 7 in order to connect to my Connectify hotspot?
Absolutely not, any WiFi enabled device can connect to your network without any additional configuration or software.

Can I still join a WiFi network while my computer is acting as a WiFi Hotspot?
Yes, absolutely. You can join a WiFi network and run the Connectify Hotspot on the same WiFi card, at the same time. The Connectify Hotspot is always on the same channel as the WiFi network that you join, but WiFi networks can share the same channel.

Will it work with my cellular Wireless Internet service?
It should, we have tested successfully with several. Please tell us if it doesn’t.

Is this just WiFi’s ad hoc mode?
No, Connectify is a real WiFi Access Point running on your computer. Any device that can connect to a regular access point, can connect to a Connectify Hotspot, with no special setup or software required.

What kind of security does it have? Is it encrypted?
Yes, your wireless hotspot is encrypted with WPA2-Personal (AES) encryption. Your security is as strong as the Passphrase that you select.

How do I turn off encryption?
Encryption is required with Connectify, we take your safety and security seriously.

Am I allowed to share my Internet?
This depends on the terms of service of your Internet Service Provider. Many have terms against reselling the connections, however sharing with friends, family and your other computers is generally fine.

Hi all,
Due to our "behated" stimyx connection, we, malaysian wower had been famous for our lagginess.

Due to recent poor connection also, it became from bad to worse.

I used to play at around 650ms to 850ms depend on tmnut mood. For last 2 week, my usual playable IP had become unplayable at all..It gave me 10K ms!!!

I tried all IPs I can found (around 5 IPs), the best I can found gave me 850ish ms...but the line is not stable sometime spike to more than 1K..

I tried few game proxy/tunneling, they are good...but they also have their weakness as well.

So, My cousin and I decided to setup our own server for game only. The server is located at 1 of the IDC (Jaring) at KL. It is suitable for Malaysia wow gamer.

After few weeks of intensive trial and testing. We manage and confident that it is stable and reliable. I can get around 250ms to 350ms(if in Big city like Orgrimar, Dalaran). Not discon on 25 Mans Raid (Vaults, OS with lot of AOEs)

Now, I would like to further stress the server by open up 10 slots for LYN user to trial.
The rules are as below:
1) STRICTLY for Game. NO P2P, TORRENT, Rapidshare, Megaupload, Netload and watever download that will hog the bandwidth. If I found out any user violating this Rule #1. I will kick him out of trial straight away. No question ask!!
2) No sharing of account. I control such that only 1 IP per username at 1 time. U sharing with other people mean U cant log on.
3) I have the right to determine which forumer get the trial slot. Normally, I will based on forum seniority, post counts. Newbie that just register few days will not be entertain at all.
4) I need trial user to feedback the performance of the server. If possible, email me date. time, the ping, which wow server U on, ingame ping and any information that are useful to help me improve the server.

Sorry that i had to set the above rules. I saw many good proxy server come and gone fast due to irresponsible user that abuse it. I dont want this to happen to this server. Because I rely on it for my wow game as well. (FYI, I got 2 wow accounts to manage)

I bought mmcx to sma cable from casey(kemen market) and connect with my wireless card and antenna.
It increases double of signal strength~~
