XBOX360 New Year Paintball Battle

Dear all,

This is it, the second battle that i am going to organise. The first one was successful, it was held at Mudtrekker @ Sg Buloh with a headcount of 12 people. Even though the last match we fought our best against the so-called pro team, we've did our best and u have my respect for that but of course the game is all about playing competitively against each other on/off field and the most important thing here that we should remember is to HAVE FUN!!!
ps-dun worry about the previous team, my team thrashed them 3 games already

This time it'll be at Isi Rimba. Located just behind Zoo Negara. It'll take 10 mins drive from Zoo Negara into Isi Rimba. I recommend u guys to car-pool as the car park will be limited. Be there at least 30 mins earlier! Late comers will face firing-squad of 5-man

Venue: Isi Rimba, Zoo Negara

Briefing: 0930 hours

Field Type: Tropical forest (hilly and thick)

okay maggots, i'm gonna host a paintball session ala GoW or COD4 or Halo3 style.

Whoever is interested just shout out here cos i need the headcount in order to get a quotation.

Windows98 User Limitations

Hi guys,

I was assigned by one of my good fren to help him to solve this user limitations in windows 98.

He was assigned by his daughter's school PIBG as the Head of IT. What he wants to do is to restrict the usage of the student account in the computer labs. Example like he doesn't want the students to gain access to control panel etc etc etc...

Can this be done? If so what is the necessary things to do? AFAIK, only guest account in Windows XP can....unfortunately i wasn't really exposed to Windows98 that much.

Guys,
I just bought this new router after my D-Link 524 got struck by lightning. I remember 3 years back i used 3COM router too. This time i chose 3COM cos the guy over in Czone recommended me so i thought why not rite? Came back at 1130, started fixing the hardwares and then started to configure at 12. Guess what? I still can't get this stupid router to connect to Stimx.
(right now i'm using direct modem connection)

The thing is, i did everything i could. Changed the IP and others manually, internet settings all correct already but i still cannot get this damn router to connect. The status always shows Disconnected. It's really frustrating and i have been configuring since 12 til now

I thought it would be easy to configure but this is pissing me off. I have no idea what else to do. I have done everything i could, used all my knowledge in 3COM products (yes i was a technician for TMNET) but still can't get this damn router to connect. Please help me guys....thanks!

hey all,

would like to know if there is anybody here who has taken this GRE test?

my gf who just graduated from UM's Biohealth Science with a CGPA of 4 is stressed out cos she's now worried as she's not sure on what to do next.

But at the same time what she wanted to do is to apply for Masters course for NUS in SG but she can't as for international candidate, they have to take this GRE Test first before applying. The next intake is in January 2007 but have to submit before 1st June 2006.

Also i heard from her that this GRE Test got maths? She's also worried cos 3 years didn't do maths already

So on her behalf, i would like to know more about this GRE Test like price, it's level of difficulties and also if possible do advice me on what to tell her what to do next as she's finding it difficult to find a job or something to do after she graduated.

FIFA World Cup Germany 2006

start ur FIFA WCG2006 discussion here like formation or strategy etc etc.

Simple Review from me:
Graphics:
It's totally awesome during cutscenes, the look on players are really nice.You can actually see the grasses during cutscenes man, even wrinkles on the players too Same like u see in Fight Night Round 3 but slightly lousier
Graphics during gameplay is just the same when u play WE9 but if compare to Fifa Road to World Cup i'm not sure, most probably the same also.
I'll give it a 4 out of 5 for graphics.

Gameplay:
Like any other soccer game, not much difference but i have to tell u it's almost close to WE. Keeper is good also, strategies or formations can be set using the D-pad even during gameplay. Another good feature i realise is that u can use steal instead of sliding tackle in this game. previous FIFAs i normally had to use sliding tackle but for this no need already
If u play against computer, i have to say that it's quite hard compare to other FIFAs,more towards WE type...not bad eh and my colleague is having a hard time scoring with Semi-Pro difficulty
Earns 4 out of 5.

Sound:
When i play and was approaching to the opposition's side, u can actually hear the crowd giving louder cheers. Not bad man. I'm sure if play with 5.1 surround it'll be much nicer
Earns a 4 out of 5 for this.

Sorry but i do not have Live yet so can't review, perhaps we will wait for terranova's review for this? That is all for me. I will not held responsible if u buy and think it's lousy mmmkay?

If you encounter bug:
You cannot switch off ALL songs on the EA Trax menu. must have at least one song selected else game freezes when it tries to play songs at the end of the game.

Xbox360 Warranty Information

Hey guys,

Well, it seems that i'm the first fellow whose xbox360 got whacked first so i'll update u guys here on how the warranty procedures work so that this will update ur knowledge by little bit more before getting the xbox360.

For my case, i got my Xbox360 from HK so i'm only entitled to claim/repair my Xbox360 only in HK. Not even SG eventhough the label on the box stated for HK/SG use.

In order to get it exchanged/repair, u'll need to call the number stated on the warranty card. If ur lucky, u'll get good english speaking customer service otherwise u'll get Indian slang speaking customer service like terranova did

Then provide them ur date of purchase, where u bought it and ur SN on the xbox360. If u have not register online, the customer service will help u do it on the spot. After holding the call for a while...about 5-10mins, the customer service will then provide u with a Service Request ID. Jot this ID down.

Depending on ur location, either HK or SG. Customer service will provide u the address to the dropoff point/exchange centre. Bring ur unit, receipt and most importantly the ID so that the centre can check the ID according to their database. It'll take up to 2 working days to process the order to exchange/repair order. Make sure u didn't mod anything to ur unit else they will not exchange/repair it.

Another info by the CS is that HK exchange/dropoff centres do not accept parellel import xbox360 units.

So before getting 1 unit for urself, it is best if u get ur unit from SG as warranty would be much easier to claim. Me being the first mice to claim in HK, i know i know, silly me

Softmodding X800 Pro to X800XT PE

Ok guys,here is the instructions on how to mod the X800 Pro to X800XT PE.

1 ) What you need is a X800 Pro VIVO with 1.6ns ram. If it's a non-VIVO,the percentage of modding it is quite....low

2 ) At least 2 floppy discs.

3 ) Download the winRAR file that i'll provide later.

Follow the steps to mod your X800 Pro VIVO to a full-fledged X800XT PE :

Floppy A
To back up your BIOS:
(a) Create a bootable floppy disc with flashrom on it by double clicking the Flasher+Floppy2.37.exe. (i'll provide the files here)

( B ) Restart the PC with the floppy disc inserted & boot in DOS.

Once activity has ceased you will be at the A:\ prompt, type the following command line to back up your existing BIOS:

flashrom -s 0 backup.bin

You now have a file on the floppy disc named 'backup.bin' this is your original BIOS which you may require at a later date.

(d) Remove the floppy disc & reboot the PC.

Floppy B
To flash to the Gigabyte X800XT BIOS for enabling the 4 locked pipelines,
(a) Create a bootable floppy disc by double clicking the DrDos boot disc creator.

( B ) Unzip the Gigabyte Flash utility & X800 XT BIOS, then place the files on the floppy disc.

Restart the PC with the floppy disc inserted & boot in DOS.

(d) Once activity has ceased you will be at the A:\ prompt, type the following command line to flash the BIOS:

GVF11 -p -f A:\r80x256v.f1

(e) Remove the floppy disc & reboot the PC.

Floppy A again,for Retail ATI XT PE
To flash to the ATI Retail X800 XT BIOS, for improved overclocking,

(a) Insert floppy disc 'A' into into the floppy drive (leaving existing files in tact).

( B ) Place the downloaded Retail ATI X800 XT BIOS ( X800XT.bin ) on to the floppy.

Restart the PC with the floppy disc inserted & boot in DOS.

(d) Once activity has ceased you will be at the A:\ prompt, type the following command line to flash the BIOS:

flashrom -p -f 0 X800XT.bin

(e) Remove the floppy disc & reboot the PC.

If you have followed the instructions carefully you should have a fully fledged ATI Radeon X800 XT 520mhz core / 560mhz memory.

Due to the heat generated by the additional 4 pipelines your maximum core over clock is likely to be reduced by on average 20mhz
