I've encountered some minor annoyances when people quote me or some others that have the "]" in their nick

It somehow gets in the way with the [quote ... ] syntax. Any way to fix it besides manually edit the post?

I have this dilemma since yesterday.
I am currently using my Linksys to enter my connection details (PPOE) while DLink set to auto configuration.
Should I turn my AM300 to modem(Bridge mode) only or continue using it as a router?

So my question here is that, which one is better?

Hello all coders,

I recently started a project in VB.NET and one of the function is to read excel.
I am using Microsoft JET to access the excel and I did close the connection.

One strange problem I've encountered is like this :

1) In my program, I open/read an excel (eg. abc.xls )
2) Without closing my compiler, I open any other excel file in my Windows (not in my program).
3) abc.xls popup together with the excel file I just opened.

Any idea?

Despite being last to be on the list, there seems to be no escape for all the major DRAM companies. For all of 2006, Samsung was under heavy investigation, all while the fines were accumulating. In fact, the U.S. government fined a total of $731 million USD in 2006 for DRAM price-fixing. The price fixing scheme caused major OEMs to pay higher than normal prices for memory and those costs were then passed on to customers. Had all the major DRAM companies actually remained competitive, DRAM prices would have been lower.

Of the $90 million USD that Samsung must pay, $80 million of it will be returned back to those affected by the schemes, while the balance will be distributed among local and state government bodies. For Samsung, the new fine will be something familiar to the company.

In 2005, Samsung was ordered by the U.S. Department of Justice to pay roughly $300 million USD in a separate case.

Most of the above companies have not just faced the U.S. government in court, but also Rambus for patent infringement cases -- not coincidentally Rambus provided much of the key evidence against these DRAM manufacturers in this and other DRAM antitrust cases.

Late last year, Micron had claimed Rambus was not playing fair in the DRAM market and filed a suit against Rambus for abusive business practices. Interestingly, in August of last year, the FTC also claimed that Rambus unfairly monopolized the DRAM market. The FTC decided yesterday to heavily slash the royalties on certain DRAM that Rambus makes its licensees pay

Help! display problem

I don't know what is wrong with the display now , after about 9-10 hours of usage, my display would display black screen at some portion of the screen and my color quality reduce to 4 bit(lowest) as oppose to 32bit (default) and my resolution down to 640x480 and I cant adjust back the default 1280x1024.

To fix it, I need to restart my pc ,weird.

I suspect a few component here to be the culprit. As I already re-formatted my hdd, graphic driver should not be a problem here.

I am using an Enermax 370watt PSU along the Rig in my SIG. Not enough?

I am using 91.47 Nvidia driver

So the question here, what is wrong with my system

1) PSU
2) Graphic card / LCD = never give me problem last time when using my old Athlon 2000+ system
3) cables
4) driver
5) windows setting (less probability)

Weird problem

This is a weird problem for me, it will only happen after i run my windows for a long time (3-4 days without rebooting) and the problem will gone after a reboot.

Here is some of the problem

1. Cannot right click, after close some application (any) i will be able to right click but the "Properties" is gone, when u right click on your desktop , there are many menu but it only left Arrange Icon, Refresh and until Undo Move

2. Cannot open folders.

I now suspect something with Styler application but after a bit of experiment, i found out that even without the software, the problem still occurs

is that a memory problem? I have 2 different timing ram and I've been using it together since the day I bought it

if anyone has any clue, feel free to post it , thanks

oh btw, dont tell me to reformat, tried it, problem still there
