buying new phone after 5 years

hi,
i have been using the black motorola v3 for the past 5 years and i have been ignorant of what type of phones there are out there.
now, the battery life of my phone is coming to an end and to my surprise, motorola has ceased in producing mobile phones (that's what the shop people told me anyway)

anyway, what i like about my phone or motorola is the constant reminder the phone has if i didn't answer any calls or smses. this alone is something that is really important to me.

i am wondering is there any phones out there that have this function? any phones besides motorola?

i noticed that we do not talk much about filters over here.
some photographers might think that they do not need to use filters once they have mastered the divine adobe photoshop software.

what do you guys think?

Are YOU a Photographic Girlie Man?

Could be...

do you own a Leica & spend more time fondling, caressing and talking to it and about it than your girlfriend?

do you know all the latest stats & tech info about every camera & piece of photographic gear on the market but don't have any photos to show those who want to see th results of your picture taking?

do you wait to photograph until you can 'get something better', rather than going out & using what you have?

do your feelings get hurt when you put up your one great photo on photo.net gallery page & you don't win 'photo of the millenium' and people don't flood you with praise?

are you a pixelographer?

do you walk around with at least two cameras hanging from your neck, banging together and sneer at those who give you an odd look, saying "Hell, they're just tools!"?

do you spend more time trying to choose which camera to take with you somewhere than photographing? or carry more than 7 lenses with you at a time?

are your photos soft & out of focus because you hand hold everything... and the tell people "I like them that way"?

do you own more white gloves & 'archival storage boxes' than you do finished photos?

do you expect people to be more impressed by your pictures simply because you travelled far or used a bigger camera to take them?

do you sell your photos... or at least start the pricing at $5000 or more(but have never sold anything) and carefully label each as 1/5000 or some such edition number you will never print even if you have 9 lives?

do you use RC paper for your 'fine art' prints while telling people that fading, spotting & silvering out is 'just part of the photographic experience'?

can you name the names of at least 40 'great photographers' yet have never taken the time to look at their work?

is your secret motto "If Ansel did it, it must be right?"

after seeing new images in lens work do you grouse 'I could have done that."

are you sure there is one, secret combination of film, developer & technique that 'the great ones' are keeping secret from you?

every time you see new images & techniques, do you rush out & duplicate them(or try to) only to never try this again since you now have 'mastered it'?

has all your exposure to the prints of the finest in our craft been in magazines & books, not ever having taken the time to go to a museum or gallery to see the originals?

is it really important for you to know the f/stop, shutter speed/ film & developer of each photo you look at?

do you take a compass/protractor/ruler to photo exhibits & measure the photographs to see if the photographer used the rule of thirds, diminishing parallels, etc... those inviolate 'rules of composition?

if so, you are probably a 'Photographic Girlie Man'.

hope this is not something people have been asking about for the past few days.
i did a search and nothing came up

anyway

a couple of days ago, a saw an advertisment from MACHINE and they were offering macbookpro for RM 8000++ (i have forgotten the actual figure. i think it's RM 8600++) and giving 3GB RAM instead of the usual 2GB.

is it some mistake? or it is indeed real?
why the lower price and 1GB extra?

wat: sending phone to motorola factory

i have some dust in the screen of my motorola v3 and i am thinking of sending it to the motorola factory to have it clean.

the reason why i do not want to go to those normal shops is because i simply don't trust them. in my opinion, there aren't one that can be trusted in this world!!!

so question: how do i send it to the motorola factory? are there any motorola official dealers out there who will help me send?
