[WTA] Substitute player for an LG 5.1 wireless HTS

Dear all gurus,

Need your say and opinion on this.

I have an LG 5.1 wireless home theater system which played fine till last week

My naughty 2-year-old tried squeezing cds into through the door hence damaging the mechanism. Now the player can't play any discs. A repair would need a change of the whole mechanism including the laser head. The cost is rather substantial and the repairman would recommend a total change of player.

Here are my concerns:

1. Would changing the main player brings about the compatibility issue since my unit runs on wireless 5.1? Which existing newer models of LG have got a wireless 5.1 configuration?

2. If i would change the main player to another brand, would i still be able to use the wireless speakers?

3. I also have my pc hooked to my main player audio-in, sort of like a HTPC. Now with the player spoilt, i find that most models in the market don't have an audio-in option. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Problem connecting my laptop Wifi

Dear all,

Recently encountered this weird problem. Could connect my laptop wifi onto certain routers but failed in some others. Checked my wifi adapter, it's 802.11 b+g. I've enabled both modes.

Any quick idea from forumers? Thanks in advance

Dear all gurus in this forum,

Need your help in solving this problem of mine. I hooked up my old pc to my 29" CRT TV but couldn't get any colours though i've adjusted almost everything in the display properties/ settings.

My PC: Runs on an old ATI 9800Pro AGP card

My TV: Sanyo 29" CRT Model CA29AF-2X

I connected my display card to my tv using s-video which is the only mode accepted by my tv (no digital-in for my CRT tv)

Anything obvious which i might have missed?

Dear all gurus,

Pls enlighten me on a would-be replacement board for my AMD Barton + AGP card + 2x512 DDR-SDRAM.

Consulting u guys as I wanna overclock my aged processor to an edge

I failed to clock it with my old Abit NF7II (chipset: nForce2 Ultra 400) - was unstable and hung most of the time.

As u all can see in the screen shot, I was underclocking my AMD to a puny suboptimal speed

Would edit this post to slot in details when gurus feel necessary.
