Personal equipment
Modem: Riger DB102 ADSL Modem 2/2+
Router: Linksys WRT54g2 wireless router
Firewall used: Window firewall

Problem details
First occurence of problem: When trying to use the linksys router as pppoe and DB102 as bridge

Problem description: Can't set up DB102 as a bridge modem for the linksys router to use in PPPOE mode. After entering all the setting into the linksys config such as username, password when trying to dial it will come out a message saying unable to obtain ip address from ISP. I think the problem is the setting of the DB102 which is on bridge and routing mode. No matter what i do i can't set it to bridge mode only.

Why isit every time after a few attempt of reconnecting and disconnecting to get better ip my line will went totally dead, no signal whatsoever for maybe around 5 min or so.

Is this cause by streamyx imposing temporally banned to my line for too much reconnecting attempt, is there anyway i could get around it ? as to get a good ip is not that easy

Currently im using those two for viruses and spyware. It works like charm last time , but lately i think my pc is infected with alot of viruses and spyware and the processing speed is getting slower and my pc always auto-booted itself after i shutdown. I scanned many time wit these 2 software and each time it come out as clean, with no infected malware , virus or other malicious program.

So im wondering is the combination of those 2 software enough to protect a typical home user ? or other software for antivirus and spyware is recommended ?

Recently after the lag, even though now my connection is ok and all , but the speed of streaming video has gone down drastically. The download, torrents, website all have returned to normal but somehow streaming of video from megavid , crunchyroll, youtube has become really really slow.

Anyone facing similiar problem ? Or has this got something to do on my side of the line ?

For now im using Ares , but the problem is ares is only good at finding english song but not chinese song.

Guys my graphic card fan fall off , the card itself is still working fine but the problem is will it overheat or what if i continue using it like this ?

Hi guys , im planning to upgrade my ram to around 2gb from my current 512mb ram , so now the question is how do i determine what kind of ram is best fitted to run with my pc .

Ok ,now i know the ram are ddr2 type but which brand of ram are better , im not looking for super good quality one but just those above average will do . and is buying 1gb cheaper or 2 512mb ?
