In vista, let sat say I use samurize to make a custom shortcut, I intended to make it point to My Comouter or Recycle Bin. But the problem is I dont have the correct path to key in,

I have 2 PC link with LAN. I used to share files among them. Recently I formatted one PC and re-setup the networking.
Now the new formatted PC in my network places/workgroup can't b accessed because of password.

BUT, i hv never set any password during formatting. How to get around with this problem??

HELP!!

My external hdd suddenly become not formatted. After safely removed from USB, I did not off the power adapter to the drive.
Now windows pop up asking me whether to reformat it or not. I want back my stuff inside.

Anyone knows what has gone wrong? Any possible solution to help retrieve my data?

My friend is having a Compaq V3000 notebook with Intel GMA 950 and S-Video output. But he cant get the display on TV using a S-Video to RCA cable(yellow).
Does the GMA support this feature?

Problem in Crossover cable networking

I have two PCs which I plan to link them by using crossover cable.
After following several guides from the Internet, I could not get them connected to share folders. Can anyone help me out?

I plugged in the cable. Assign static IP and common subnet mask. Then, I rename a new common workgroup for both PCs and reboot.

They are connected but timed out when I tried to ping.
Files cant be shared too.

Anyone can help?

I would like to upgrade the HP notebook in my signature to 2x1 GB. The stock RAM from HP is 2x512 MB. Can I trade in the stock RAM upon purchase the 2x1 GB RAM sticks?

If it is possible, how much would it cost in total after trade in?
