ATI Radeon HD2600 glitch

After I got my new rig with ATI Radeon HD2600XT i got some display glitch with some games. Anyone got the same problem? espically with windows vista ones. I am using XP SP2 with all the latest drivers and patch.

I just got a new rig recently and i found out my CPU is throttling like 2600mhz -> 1000mhz -> 2600mhz -> 1000mhz -> 2600mhz every second while playing games. (a.k.a it's throttling)

So I download prime95 and do a full load testing (running 2 instance) I found that my CPU temp hit 65c in 30 seconds (then the throttling starts) and BSoD in less then 5 min (Temp around 75~80 C).

I also open up the case and touch the heatsink, below is some comparison with my other rig:

AMD Athlon XP 1900+ running at 59 C = The heat sink is hot, can cook!
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 65nm 2600Mhz under stress test at 65 C = The heatsink is just warm

At first i thought is the stock compound is not good enough so i re-apply with some Arctic Silver but that is not helping much. (well, can lasts longer before BSoD. at least can nearly "touch" the 5 min milestone)

Wanna ask, is this 'normal' for you guys running AMD Athlon 64 X2? or i need to get a better cooler like THE Big Typhoon.

Note: all the drivers and dual core patch is installed.

My Machine Spec:
MSI K9N Neo-F V3 (MS-7369) <-- yaay~ RMAed and changed to ASUS M2N-E and now running smooth~ (finally i can play games.)
AMD X2 5000+ 65nm 2600Mhz (Stock HS+F running at 3k RPM) <--- changed HS+F to BIG Typ 120VX after i confirmed my tempeture problem fixed. now running coooollll
2 GB DDR2-800 RAM (with heat sink plates)
Silver Stone 560W PSU (1x 120mm fans)
CoolerMaster Case (2x 120mm fans)
320GB SATA HDD
MSI ATI Readon HD 2600XT Diamond 512MB DDR4
(FYI guys, ATI HD 2xxx sucks, lots of compatibilities issue like texture alpha not working plus HDR issue(e.g. see http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=534734 ). and i doubt they gonna fix that, already tested a few version of driver. get the green ones instead for DX10 card atm.)

The system of submarine cable APCN (Asia Pacific Cable Network)
will be repaired completely around the end of January 2007.

The system of submarine cable C2C (C2C Cable Network)
will be repaired completely around the end of February 2007.

The procedures for repairing mentioned might be changed depending on environment or weather conditions of the incident point.
