help: guide on installin SATA2 on Intel DG965RY

hi again. i just made some google (whole day.. phew). anyways, i decide to do this on my own rather than brought my cpu to lowyat. this gonna be my 1st pc assembling experience. however, i need some clarification about the cable and installation before i proceed.

1) do i also need power cable?(that white kabel) or is it just plug with sata cable only(orange in colour)?

2) my pc already have winxp.. so is it just plug.. wait for win xp detect.. and do partition in disk management, OR, is it i'm gonna face some BIOS setup?

in case of reference, here's my current pc specs:
optical drive - LG18x super multi dvd writer (GSA-H22N)
psu - extreme power rs-430-pcar/rs-430-pcap 430w
mobo - Intel DG965RY
hdd: maxtor stm3160215as/maxtor stm380211as(40gb+160gb)
others: geforce 7600 gs

my choosen to install hdd is:
2x '320GB Western Digital SATA2 16MB Cache'.

hi. i'm not technically enough pc knowledge about this. as my diskspace is now getting low, i need a new one. however, i need advice if my pc specification is ok to add new one. here's my pc system summary:
