What can/should I buy for GBP6?

I'd like to close my Paypal UK account and transferred most of my balance there to my bank account, however got the withdrawal limit of GBP6 which is now stuck in there.

Give me websites / items suggestions that I can buy for GBP6 (lebih kurang RM30) online using paypal?

The situation is quite complicated so I'm making a time frame to help understand, I really do need help on this one, hope LYN can help me out yet again.

1) I studied in the UK for 1 year, created a bank accounts (Lloyds Tsb)

2) I registered with Paypal UK and linked it with my bank account, with the address and phone number in UK.

3) I returned to Malaysia but kept both UJK Bank and Paypal accounts under the impression that it'll make any future online shopping easier.

4) I changed my address in Lloyds Tsb to my address now in Malaysia. However, I am unable to change my phone number as the system automatically adds the prefix +44 to all number I add.

5) I paid for something online. Paypal UK suspected foul activity and temporarily freezes my account for me to verify the purchase. After all, my billing address in Lloyds Tsb and Paypal is now different.

6) My address and phone number in Paypal UK are both the ones I used in UK, but it couldn't be changed as the system automatically assigns the country (cannot make it as 'Malaysia'). Asked for help from Paypal and after replying back and forth for a few days, they removed the claim.

7) Was adviced to make a new Paypal account. Made one under Paypal Malaysia. However, because my number in Lloyds Tsb was auto assigned +44 (look at number 4), it was clashing and I *still cannot link my Paypal Malaysia with the UK bank account.

8) Contacted Lloyds Tsb and finall found out that changing my phone number to a Malaysian number is NOT POSSIBLE.

Best course of action now?

How to Save Money in Malaysia

I'm starting a new blog, called http://malaysiamoneysaving.blogspot.com/ , where I hope to list out ways for Malaysians to save money (and earn money). It's very, very new, just created a couple of hours ago, and only have 3 posts.

I'd appreciate it if you can help me add more things in it as I'm genuinely interested in helping people save money especially in this economic climate. I also don't believe in cutting back, but rather paying less: two different things.

Of course, credits will given. Give your 2 cents on how to save money and local Malaysian deals on practically any topic. For example, I'd like to get more on things that concern most urban Malaysians such as Streamyx costs, Astro subcriptions, petrol, tolls, ect. Or comment if you think that my 'deals' are wrong and there's a better deal out there. Anything appreciated!

Insurance advice needed

Looking for a Life/ Medical / Personal Accident insurance in case something happens to me, so I don't have to depend on my parents to pay hospital bills. Thing is, I'm incredibly fortunate up til now. 21 years old, female, non-smoking, never been hospitalized, never broke anything, never suffered lasting illness. However, I know that I can't just rely on luck from now on, can I?

Basically I'll be basing my decision on the criterias listed below:

1) Reputation of company (which company have good reputation for non-fussy insurance claiming).
2) Most comprehensive cover for as little monthly charges.
3) Coverage for Hospitalisation and Medical fees is a must.

So I'm doing a bit of research for fun in comparing on the types of Credit cards we can get in Malaysia and which ones are the best ones to get. So, I need experts to help me with my curiousity! Just pick whichever you can answer.

Here we go:

1) Best overall credit card in Malaysia.
2) Best company to get a credit card from in Malaysia (based on company reputation, ect).
3) Best cards for rewards.
4) Cards to avoid/ worst cards.
5) Best rates for credit card repayment.
6) Best cards and worst cards for:
a) Students
b) Low income earners
c) Medium income earners
d) High income earners
7) Cards with annual fee vs cards without annual fees: pros and con.
8) Cards with long 0% installment.
9) Best 'no-nonsense' credit card (cards with no weird t&c like have to swipe at least twice a month or will get a penalty fee)
10) Benefits on credit cards worth having/considering (collect Frequent Flyer miles, petrol, ect).

How to get Masters

I've finished degree, now want to do Masters. I'm in one of those fields that experience > study, so I don't want to spend like 4 years getting a Masters.

I did my degree in UK. It's possible to get a Masters here within a year, but I'd love to get some other thoughts.

Laptop won't play DVDs

I bought laptop 2 years ago and still works great. Of course it plays Region 4 DVDs. Now I'm studying in UK so I changed setting to region 2 to play the dvds here. But when I insert my dics, the laptop just fail to recognise the disc. Even if I open Divx and press play it just whizz up a while then stop- meaning it's not 'No DVD inserted' or 'DVD not recognized'. I think it may be of some plugin or whatever, but I'm no pro.

What do you guys think?

I bought my laptop in msia, now in uk, bought myself some nice cheap dvds, but the player cant seem to play them. I dont have windows media player btw, due to virus long ago decided to uninstall it. have divx and winamp. tried to use uncle google but answers specifically for msian comps are hard to find.

btw msian dvds are region 4, uk is region 2.

and on that note, can i find region-free dvd players in malaysia to play on tv?

Yesterday I was using my sis' laptop, and the annoying Windows update keep popping up say pls update and restart, so I did. And then when open up again, got blank screen, and I had to install the Windows Vista all over again, and all data inside is lost as well. Thank God we still keep the installation disc, and I'm going to run some data recovery softwares to get back all her lost stuff, but did anyone else experience this? And why it happened?

I have the Kingmax 8gb Super Stick thumbdrive, bought like 2 months ago, but today when I insert into usb port there's no Autoplay, and when I go to My Computer, the icon Removable Disk (:F) appears, but when I double click, it says pls insert disk into (:F). I tried to open my other thumbdrive, and it works fine.

FYI, because the pendrive is small and got hp strap, I attach it to my hp (uses LiIon batt in case wondering). Could that be why?
