Lack of bass on B&W 685

Hi all sifus,

I recently bought a pair of B&W 685 and Onkyo SR605 receiver and is connecting thru my PC.

The first thing i notice is the speakers is lacking of bass...

Below is my config setup:

PC (Prodigy HD2) RCA (L/R) out -> SR 605 (Front L/R) -> 685s

The speaker cable i used was my old cables Transarent HP 144 biwirable and RCA used is Transparent Music link.

The connection at the speakers to receiver: (The illustration is only on left speaker connection)

The HF & LF are linked.

Can someone help to point out what is wrong with my connection or settings?

On the receiver, i have set to full band on the front L/R speakers.

Please help!!!

BSOD: page fault in nonpaged area

Hi all,

I am using DFI NF4 Ultra-D with AMD FX-53.
Memory: Corsair TwinX 512MBx2
Harddisk: WD 250GB SATA x2

While i was playing game, my PC suddenly hang till no action even i press any buttons (alt-TAB OR CTRL-ALT-DEL..)

Then i rebooted my PC and my PC keep on restarting whenever it reaches the winXP logo loading page.. more than 10 times..

However, there are sometime (very rear) it reaches my desktop screen but BSOD with the message "page fault in nonpaged area".

Thus, i decided to quick formatting it & re-install the winXP again.

Now, errors coming in ->

During booting from CD rom, i choose all the options for installing a new copy..at the screen (blue background)of copying file, it keeps on saying can't copy certain file and asking me to retry... The filename is not always the same.

I did tried on different copy of WinXP CDs and still having the same case. FYI, i tried on 3 different CD drives and 3 different copies of winXP installation disks.

I also tried to keep on pressing ENTER key when failed to copy and BSOD screen with page fault in nonpaged area comes again. And now when i boot my PC, i see blank screen..even worse..

To all the sifus here, what is happening to this PC??

[WTA] Is this HU good?

Hi all,

While i am surveying for HUs, this is one of the models recommended by the salesperson.

I am listening more towards RnBs and currently, i am having MTX components for front and a 10" subwoofer. Both are driven separately by a 4 ch and 2 ch cheap amps. My current HU is Pionner 1650 and thinking of upgrading my HU before moving to the components and amps..

This is what i got from the web but would like to listen to the owners or anyone who experience the sound produced by this Hu. Please advice. Thanks.

Hi all,

I am using handphone all the time. Recently, i planned to change a new phone / PDA phone to replace my old fren nokia 3650.

Now, i am facing some difficulties as below:

If i buy PDA phones such like O2 mini, there will be no keypad and will i be facing any hard time during dialing during traffic jam or any sorts of "one hand dialing"..

On another hand, i am frequently taking notes/minutes/appointment as meetings are my daily routine.

On multimedia portion, i am preferring to have at least 1.3MP/2MP camera function embedded as well.

So, any ideas/suggestion? Please help

[WTA] Tube Subwoofer or Free-air Subwoofer

Hi all,

I am currently using 12" subwoofer sealed box. As i am listening RnB more and the bass is not sufficient for me + less space (Hyundai Accent), i am thinking of getting a 10" tube subwoofer.

May i know anyone using tube subwoofer here and mind to advice me on the performance?

I am driving a Hyundai Accent.
