My external hdd make my laptop hang

everytime when i plug in my hdd and access it..
my laptop will be super slow,then i check the window task msger,i found out that the explorer exe is using up all the CPU usage.
any sifu here has any idea about fixing it???

cant move 6g iso file to my hard disc

i dled a 6g iso file,but when i move it to my hdd,i says not enuf space and a disc cleanup windows pop out....then i though of extract it in winrar and i managed to it in hdd,but then when i extract the stuff,again it give this error: write error:only NTSC file system support file larger than 4 g

help....i renamed the a file with ending ".rar"

i mistype an ending of one of my file,and now it become a winrar file.
how to change it back?the file no long show its ending,and i cant change it...

Vista cannot show subtitle

My bro new laptop is using vista while my old one is XP. When i want to watch movie with a .srt file, the subtitle cannot show. I did some research, some recommended to use Wmp classic to play but i was using WMP classic still not working. So want to ask which software to download so that the movie can show subtitle.

sori all sifu...i have a question.wat the different betwen router,swtich and a modem..i know that switch is like a spliter for LAN(duno is correct o not)...N if i wan to buy a device to connect to streamyx,which one should i buy?i see there is router with modem n router without modem.

I am planning to buy a dekstop here and carry oversea to study. So want to ask is it legal to do this? I want to hand carry it because if put in big luggage scare the dekstop component will get loose.

dvd drive cant be detected

i jz reformat my laptop yst,but when reformat it...i din plug in the internal dvd rom,cause i am changing a new one.n everything goes smoothy

then today my dvd drive arrived,i try to plug it in,but my laptop cant detect it,n it even freeze my laptop...then i unplug it n try it wif my old dvd drive,still doesnt work,n it freeze my laptop also....

help me pls...

Cannot open new window

Every time i open a new window, in any folder(my music, my doc, my com) error report thingy will pop out.
Pls help me solve this prob, now i cannot even open a single folder inside my com. Only can open firefox.

I am planning to buy a new pc this end of month. The pc shop here only sell original window, so they tell me to install the OS=window myself. I have very less experience on installing window. I try upgrade window before but not is not like this. I heard install a window from a empty pc is very hard.

SD card corrupted
