'Recycled' questions bring on the brickbats

The Penang government's boast of being the country's first government based on the ‘CAT' principles of competency, accountability and transparency was dented today after a backbencher was discovered to have duplicated a set of written questions which had already been raised in the previous term.

Previous ruling party Gerakan seized the opportunity to take a pot shot at the DAP-led state government, branding it a "copy cat" government.

Pulau Tikus state assemblyperson Koay Teng Hai was found to have duplicated the written questions in total from those previously submitted by Gerakan's former Datuk Keramat assemblyperson Ong Thean Lye.

The Pakatan Rakyat backbencher submitted three written questions on the monorail project, natural gas vehicle pumping stations and the state sports trust fund at the current sitting.

However, Ong quickly claimed ownership of the questions, saying Koay had copied them from his own set of questions submitted at the assembly's sitting on Nov 19 last year.

‘He didn't do anything wrong'

Ong said he had a good laugh upon noticing Koay's duplication when perusing the official assembly meeting arrangement record book last night.

Speaking to journalists today, he however, said he was "proud that his questions were admired so much by the DAP that the elected representative did not change a single word and repeated them wholly at the present sitting".

The criticisms are a set back in Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's efforts in running a transparent and clean establishment since coming to power last March.

State executive councillor Danny Law Heng Kiang defended Koay, saying the backbencher did not commit an unethical act as an elected representative.

He claimed Koay had merely repeated the same questions to keep Penangites abreast of the current issues in the state.

Deputy chief minister Prof P Ramasamy, who is also the DAP chief whip, later told reporters that an internal inquiry would be conducted into the matter.

Hey guys

I'm going to assemble a new rig for myself, the primary purpose of this rig would be online, movies and drama most of the time. I'll be gaming also but i think most of the game i would play would be RTS, such as C&C 3 and dawn of war. Below is my spec, suggestion and comments would be well appreciated

AMD AM2 X2 4000+ @ RM 220

Biostar TA 690G @ RM 265

Cosair Ram 667 2 * 1G @ RM 100 or Kingston?

Seagate SATA2 320 G @ RM 280

LG Sata DVD burner @ Rm 100

ACBEL E2 470 Watt or Coolermaster Real power 450 watt? ----> kinda undecided i'm looking for a stable but also cool looking PSU around 200-300 (max)

Casing--> Saw the Centurion 5 and kinda liked it, any recommendation? i want those with see thru side panel

GPU---> this paling headache cause it has been sometime since i last did a research on this part, i got one RIG using 6600GT card from asus. I got a budget of around 400 for this, i'm thinking maybe 8500 GT or maybe a ATI 2600 XT Which one would be better? and Which brand do you all recommend? i saw goldfries review on XpertVision card, i think i'm personally going to ban that brand.

PC no display

hey everyone, i juz bought a LG GSA-H22N dvd burner. I installed it juz now and reboot my com, to my suprise there isn;t any display on the monitor, something like the display card isn;t generating any output to the monitor. Then i off my com and plug off the power supply to my dvd burner and reboot my com again, everything was loading normally and it get into windows like usual.

So i thought it could be the master and slave problem, so i set my burner into master and my dvd rom into slave, and the same problem comes up, i double check my connections again and everything, still couldn't solve the problem...so i decided to change back to my normal configuration (dvd rom as master, disconnect the burner) this time around the same problem happen...

So any sifu here has an idea on wat has happen to my com? I'm using Abit KN8 Ultra mb

The price is based on viewnet price list which is i think 2 weeks back. So wat do u guys think abt it? any improvements that can be made on it?
