First of all, this is a great compact camcorder at a banging price. With 3CCD, 1.38 megapixels in EFFECTIVE moving pixles in 16:9 mode. You can't get more than that with this packaged price. Samples of some videos can be watched at point8cam. Note that newer videos used this particular camera and for superGT, a mix of this camera and a lower end camera was used.

If anyone is wondering if this is any better than the miniDVD or HDD cameras out there, here's a simple comparision.

miniDV tape = 1 hour of footage, 13GB. DV codec editing, fast.
miniDV & HDD = way less than that, hence it's precompressed, there goes the quality. MPEG2 editing, more processing.
