get the sigma 70-300mm APO with AF-motor, u can autofocus with that, only RM800+

dust on sensor, either blow it away urself, or visit nikon service center at PJ, 20minutes job.

dust will be visible on small aperture, try shoot on a white paper @ f22, exposure time around 1 second or more ,
move ur camera slightly to create a blur image, but the dust will stay in focus as it is on the sensor.

It's not a matter of brands challenging each other. But i think it's good to have everyone under one roof. Most of the time, some posts are cross related between threads, therefore I think having everyone under one roof would be beneficial for all.

sensor dust will be very visible under small aperture (eg.f22) and vice versa. @f2.8, sensor dust can barely/not visble.

i believe is the sensor dust...
u can try, if use aperture f3.5 and f22. see the spot still there or not.

the lens fungus, u can spot it clearly by looking through the lens.

(btw, NSC service is suky)
