new patch is coming alot of changes and fixes.hopefully will help the game.

But all I can say is the game has stunning graphics nice game play just lacking in population for now.

some ppl are coming back but very slowly and we are also hoping for funcom to merge servers.

still not many ppl on some servers.I joined bloodspire tuned out to be oceanic server lot of Aussies but declining.Im stll playing and wating for the new pvp patch.

Since WAR is out alot of ppl are jumping ship.

Anyway, for those who are eager for a review, I will write a summary of what I think about this game so far. No point writing long reviews as you can find plenty of them on the net ^^.

Pros:

Superb graphics for a MMO.
- You can find alot of high res screenshot on the web.

Performs pretty good on mid-range PCs.
- I am running everything maxed except shadow where i reduced to shadows from characters only on Q6600 @ 3.24GHz and 8800GTS 320MB @ 648/1620/1026 with 30-50 fps average. Windows XP 32bit.

Different combat system (for melees).
- Something new

Great storyline.

FFA PvP.
- Everyone can attack you even your own faction. If you don't like this, you might wanna stay away. You can get GY camped / zonepoint camped if your dead.

Cons:

User Interface NEEDS ALOT of work and fine tuning.

Game is buggy as hell.
- I know MMO will be buggy at launch but this is way too many of them.

Bad in-game community.
- To be honest, I do not know why. This game has a rating of +18M and yet there are so many immature kids in the game.

Bad customer service.

Classes are not balanced.

Instancing of zones.
- I will explain this if someone wants to know. A short summary will be, you will not have a seamless world like WoW and there will be multiple copies of the same zone if the zone is overflowed with users.
That's all I can think of atm, gonna have to sleep soon btw lol. Feel free to ask me any questions here. I will try my best to answer them .

eh huhu ada member. I just re-roll my toon on bloodspire. Currently im at level16 dark templar name Arui but im already in a guild name "Original Gankstar" hahahaha. My other toon is level60 at bardisattava server. So who else playing this game? Dying to see some countryman online in AoC.

this game is still buggy and not quite balanced yet in trems of pvp and some quests are bugged.

but I think it will improve so im giving it a few months.

Im only lvl 50 Barb but enjoying it very much

game crashes somethimes when i travel to other maps.and minimaps sometimes turns grey.

u can only see the markers for quests but cant see the road:P

but so far everything is smooth.Just waiting for the DX10 patch.

Hmm since I'm playing this game, lemme chip in a little of the experiences I've been having from the game.

First off, some game background,
Played WOW on the 2nd week of launch, left it 2 months later, at lvl 49 Pally (reason: too grindy. cant lvl up if I don't grind)
Played Tabula Rasa, once I got the MMO itch back, (when I heard of Warhammer, while waiting for the game to launch), left after 1 month, reason, Streamyx blocks the connection, need 3rd party software to get around it, too troublesome.
Played LOTRO, almost 1/2 year, nice game, good guild, fun experience. Reason I left, AOC launched, also waiting for Moria to release.

Currently playing AOC, main character Barb, lvl 78. Several alts at lvl 49, 30, 29, 20.
Loving it so far, due to good graphics, (you can't deny that), fatalities, combo key combat, quest chains.
Not happy about,
- several quest not complete, out of 100+ 3 or 4 chains of quest buggy (meh).
- not many PvP's in PVE server (doh!) well they did say there is a PvP mini-game, on each PvE servers. (Like arena in WOW)
- some bugs on memory, (very unhappy) U'll get crashes after about 5 to 6 hrs of gameplay. (more frequent if you have low end system.
- huge HDD space ( 20+Gb)

My advice for people looking to play,

- Make sure you have a good system, this game was designed for hi-end systems, as much as they say otherwise. (8800GT above will run smoothly)
- If you are undecided between WAR and AOC, try WAR first, since it requires less system requirements and the developers had promised smooth launch, and lots of PVP action.
- If you like solo in MMO games, then AOC is the choice. Not much hi lvl PvP yet (guild city raids).
- If you like good graphics, AOC is the choice. WAR will have cartoonish feel (more like WOW).
- If you like interesting action game play, AOC is the choice. Every combo you make needs a corresponding key combo.
- Its overall a fun game to play if you play on PvE servers. PvP lots of ganking currently.
- Wait for a few more months, when the game patches fixes more stuffs.

Don't know about others, but I'm playing since launch and I'm still playing.
Not sure how long more I'll be on this game, it all depends on alot of factors, so until then, I'm busy chopping off heads.

I just finished playing with my buddy invitation. (7days free trail & install from my friend's DVD)
I had an option to upgrade to subscribe without paying for the game itself (dvds) but I didn't.

I know my friend highlighted to me that the actual game play will begin at LVL20. That's were you can venture into the real world.

Reasons:-
- Graphic Performance issue.
My specs.
8600GT (going to die soon )
E6600
3GB Ram
.8800GT even have problems reaching nice FPS unless some tweaking done.
.I have seen once the spell casting graphics effect from my character. But after a while, it when missing. And i tried to reset the settings etc, it is no longer there.
.I'm not thinking of upgrading my GC immediately just because of AOC.
- Lag
.Turned off every downloading before i start the game.
.But it is still lagging.
.I'm in PVP server. The game play requires you to execute the combo quickly or strafe or block etc. It is so difficult to PVP effectively!
.Killing mobs also lag!

-Slow download speed
. Patches kept coming and I get about like 10-3kbps of download speed
. the 1.6GB patch speed was fine though.

Pros of this game
- If set aside the graphic performances issue (i think the engine is not fully optimize or bad coding) it is beautiful and realistic, unlike cartoonist WOW.
- Nudity. Full frontal nudity except for the G-string
- Fatality finished. Yeah it is brutal e.g. beheading.
- Very fun and challenging combat system.
- Every character can hide and sneak around!!
- No need to buy a copy of the game if your friend gives you buddy invites but you need to install the game from your friends DVD.
