Actually the Denon 28xx series is same range as Yammy RX-V8xx series in US....

the 38xx vs RX-V18xx
the 48xx vs Rx-V38xx

it's only the distributor in M'sia that's very greedy to price it much higher than Yammy here......

based on the pricing on the web
lower end model for denon seems very reasonable but again when it reaches here i doubt it will be as cheap as USD 499 or 599
sadly most new model onli comes with 1 output cb
perhaps 2808 will get cheaper hehe when new AVR is out
