Internship Resignaton, Terms and Conditions?

Dear all,

I am currently working as an intern in an engineering R&D firm but might recieve another internship offer from one of the major MNC soon. If I do get the offer, I will definitely quit the current firm and move to the MNC.

However, I have signed a letter stating my duration of training will be till Feb.

What happens if I quit eitherways and move to the MNC? of cause I will want to quit in good will as I believe my few weeks there have thought me alot.

What does the company has on me that would withhold my decision?

SAP ERP vs Oracle ERP, Which one is better?

I was wondering which one is better between SAP ERP and Oracle ERP. Some said Oracle ERP is substituting SAP ERP in the near future, how true is this? Can somebody from these related fields give some comments here?
SAP got FICO, BI etc. how about Oracle?
In terms of future prospect, which one is a better path?

i get an offer to work as programmer in silverlake....but i wanted to know more on the benefits for a newcomers....anyone have experience in this company?...it is nice to work?...got what benefit...because i forgot to ask them about the benefits...lols.....just ask for the salary when they inform me that i was offered a job via phone call...

Say I am a Java programmer above, I guess it is more likely my work life consists of chasing deadlines till midnight, work on weekdays, and work on 2-3 problems even in dreams, maybe even been through 1 or 2 death marches.

Say I work another 4 years, and my salary is possible around, I don't know, RM 7,000-8000? At this stage I estimate no matter how efficient I get I cannot produce work output of more than 4 junior programmers.

So, generally, on average, what is the most common next step of a programmer's career? Base on your own experience or what you observed on other programmers:

A. Become a lead/senior programmer, lead some junior programmers, and continue to work long hours with no life. Will not have kids or marriage for the remaining 30 years life. Salary raise slowly but steadily (to 10k?).
B. Become a lead/senior programmer, lead some junior programmers, but work regular hours because the junior programmers will do the grunt work. Salary raise slowly but steadily.
C. Become a lead/senior programmer, lead some junior programmers, and continue to work long hours with no life. But with possibility of being retrenched. Salary doesn't raise much.
D. Can't take the long hours anymore, become a consultant with regular hours. But is this common?
E. Become a partner/director in the company. Work regular hours. Job security. But is this common?
F. Open own software company. But this seem not very easy. Need to have very good upper level network.
G. Can't take long hours anymore, retire.
H. Join a MNC company with regular working hours.
I. Can't take long hours anymore, start any business that is non software, open a coffee shop or collect rent or something.
J. Become a painter.

Hi, lowyat forummer, Good days to you all.

I am undergrads student ,first year,and am currently on my semester break and i am looking for a suitable part time job to fully utilise my long break instead of slacking at home.
And now, my mum has helped me by introducing me a part time job which is working as a temporary assisstant at library of TARC .

Would it be beneficial to me in future if i were looking for any job since i have got the experience of working as a library assistant before?

previously i have worked there during my holidays while waiting for my SPM result and that is the time when i have worked at computer lab for 5 months. and now i am returning to work there part time again as a temporary assistant in library.

So i have the EPF deduction and my EPF number as well, Would it do anything to me? cos i have no idea on how the salary is being calculated . All i know is there is reduction in SOSCO and EPF, and the net salary per month is RM 800++..

and from what my mum told me, now we only work during weekdays, weekends not included as it is the time to relax and get out of the bustling of workdays. And thus i think of just utilising my time well so i will start working there tomorrow.

What i want to know is does the work experience like this--part time job would do anything good to me in future?
