You <br /><br />should be able to do this with practice.<br /><br />With the Sony A300 and A350, you can use Live View and see the effect of changing Kelvin WB... live!<br /><br /><b>M</b> = Magenta<br /><b>G</b> = Green<br /><b>2500K</b> = Blue<br /><b>9900K</b> = Amber<br /><br />Take a picture. Supposing the picture is very Green, you need to add the opposite which is Magenta. If the picture is <br /><br />too Blue you need to go closer to Amber. This makes it difficult to modify them for white balance and HDR pictures.<br /><br />I was wondering how do you calibrate your monitors? I so far just used a colour chart and modify the colour settings until it is properly gray in the gray scale. <br /><br />Souring google mostly brings me to hardware setup like Eye. But being a non-pro and cheap ass like myself, I prefer using softwares but couldn't find a proper one. <br /><br />Sharing is caring <img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='thumbup.gif' /> ShenWoo Fri, 20 Nov 2009 11:20:27 +0800 olympus mju 1070 dilemma, newly bought please help!! http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1233288 hi, i recently bought a new olympus mju 1070 from foto miami a camera shop near digital mall.<br />when i bought it, i tested it out to see that it was working, but the shop is facing a busy road so it was quiet noisy and i couldn't hear any sound when i tested the camera.<br />when i took it back and tried it out, there seemed to be a lot of sound coming out from it (something like krrrr krkk) whenever i turn it on and it actually goes on for sometime.<br />i needed to use the camera urgently so i took it back to foto miami all the way to see if they could give me a new one. <br />The sales girl who sold me the camera was not available, but there was another lady who was pure b****y and irresponsible as she said that whatever happens to the camera after they sell it is my business not hers (talk about after sales service). she told me to take it straight to olympus. i called up the next day and the girl who sold me the camera told me that she had already sent in the warranty card (is there such thing?) and that i have to send it to olympus SC.<br /><br />i went to olympus SC which is 1 hour away from where i lived.<br />this guy davian came out and insisted that there was nothing wrong with my camera. <br />however, the sifus at the other camera shops (i went to 3) told me the lens in the camera was loose and is what's causing the sound.<br />my pictures are only clear when i put it on 12 mega pixel, which means that my file sizes are super huge.<br />When i lower it to 5 mega pixels, the picture becomes very grainy.<br /><br />please tell me if there's something wrong with the camera or if it is normal for it to make such sounds?<br />if not i really need to go talk to olympus. janeration7 Fri, 20 Nov 2009 00:21:49 +0800 UV and CPL Filters, http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1232922 Hi, <br /><br />Wanna ask the experts is a UV filter important for taking good photographs? I cant see the difference really and i seem to think that CPL makes nicer photoes then UV filters, therefore UV isnt that important?<br /><br />Can you put a CPL then have a UV filter placed together. If you can do it, which should be installed first? Also, does the UV filter play two roles in this instant?
