well the lightning strikes from the modem again and blow off my modem..
now my rig dont show anything on the screen whenever i on it.
the lights in mobo are working fine including gfx , proc , psu fans.
even the keyboard is working when the pc is on..can see the capslock light on / off
my monitor is100% fine...any idea on this? a mod told me before it might be motherboard..

but im still thinkin that if my mobo got zapped , why my pc is still able to on? like usual with all the led lights.

I'm sick with Vista and XP !

Question:

1. My system is running very when using Vista, when I just install a fresh Vista OS, I work like a cham, but after I installed some programs such as IDM, ESET anti-virus and other online games, my Vista become turtle ! It take about 5-10min to startup and stable. I already reformat my PC for 3 times in this week. It still the same.

2. I'm using XP sp.3 now, but, it getting slow too ! I need at least 5 second to open my firefox. Damn it.

Any idea with these ?

i wan to format the c drive,when i use the recovery cd it hv 3 options
1-restore 1 partitions
2-resttore entire hd
3-restore 2 partitions

all 3 i tried and it end with error" bootmgr not found"

i not really know how to use the recovery cd,
can anyone teach me here?

Hi there... today my house had a power surge when i was sleeping and suddenly i hear a pop sound and it was my printer got burnt.... following by adapters (Those adapters that are fat *like modem, wireless phone and laptop*)....

I am not concern about the adapters because it can be purchased back...

But i am concern about my printer.... Its burnt and how can it be fixed??? When it was burning it had a fault smell of 'burn plastic and sausage *ya, sausage*).... If it possible to fix it or its dead for good???

Oh ya, and i want to ask.... does DLink warranty for adapter??? I bought my adapter on july so it hasn't reached one year warranty...

I'm using Gigabyte motherboard, EX58-UD5, Crossair 6GB DDR3 rams.

Yesterday I formatted my comp, after formatted, in my comp it says "6GB (2GB usable)":

Then when I checked in dxdiag, it shows:

And finally when I use CPUZ to check, it shows:

For CPUZ I had checked all the SPD, all the modules are identical...

When I checked in my Bios, after flash it to new version and selected "Default Optimized setting", it also detect 2GB only...

Is that anything wrong with my ram? All of them remain plugged in and my windows can be started without any problem... something wrong with my bios setting, please help!!!

My internet is having some problems. I checked the internet connection which seems to be fine but internet explorer/mozilla seems to be disconnected. I set my page to google but it comes up to be this other website (web page doesn't load but address appears as api.mybrowserbar.com). I click on C drive and it comes out with an X box saying "recyclers". I strongly believe that my computer is infected with a or many virus(es). I am using another computer at home and there seems to be no problem with this one. Did try the system restore but is not working. help~~
