Hi,

I would like to know if we could make a phone call using Apps like Google Voice, Skype, BB Messenger or Windows Live Messenger to another user of the application, instead of calling to a handphone or landline which gets you charged ?

So for example, if it's WLM, we dial to the user through the App bypassing the service provider's voice packages and running solely on data plans ?

I know WLM can't do the above. But what about Google Voice and Skype .. or if you have any recommendation whereby I can make free calls to another blackberry user, please do enlighten me.

Hey Guys

Just wondering if anyone knows where to send Blackberries to repair in Malaysia.

I have 2 x Curve (trackball problem + 1 broken screen cover) + 1 x Bold (hang and wont switch on anymore, tried with a new batt, it still won't work)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN REPAIR AND HAS BLACKBERRY ACCESSORIES!

Hi, I'm planning to get into BB services with Postpaid package wither from Celcom or Maxis. But I still wonder how is the coverage in Penang, device I planning to get is BB Curve 8520 which is lower package, with celcom only RM788 but I need to switch from Maxis to celcom. Maxis was too expensive compare to Celcom BIS.
Have any Penang BB user comment on the coverage... many thanks....

Have you been to Subang Square lately?

I saw a few shops selling Blackberry phones on Lelong.com.my. Their pricing is pretty cheap, and so decided to pay them a visit. Address are all in Subang Square Corporate Tower. Went there yesterday afternoon, and the place is dead! Very quiet, all shops closed (I wonder if they are even open during weekdays, maybe all vacant).

Is it the correct place I went to? Is there another Subang Square?... The building I went to is beside KFC, and Hassan. Behind Taylor Business School.

I am new to Blackberry. I am subscribed to Maxis unlimited 3G plan. If I get a Blackberry phone (Bold or Storm for example), do I need to subscribe to BIS in order to be able to get online, use MSN, etc? What is the difference between 3G and BIS?

Do I need to subscribe to 3G still, if I get Maxis' BIS unlimited plan (RM120 a month)?

Where do you suggest I can get a good deal for Blackberry Bold or Storm? Thank you for replying my newbie questions.

After a few call to Celcom Careline regarding Xpack Celcom BIS..cannot xtivate...

They ask me to run this test :

DEVICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST.........

Radio Data Activarion : YES
Signal level : - 63dBm
Radio Access : EDGE
Network : MY CELCOM
Ip adress : XX>XXX>XX>XX

ICMP Ping Echo : ... ( this option must be YES isnt it?? why after running test foor a whole night is still show dot dot ???

I forgot where i read the information saying that blackberry have higher level of security compared to other phone. But i had use my BB curve 8900 for several months, i didnt realize any differences of security level compared to other phone.

Anyone can comment on this? or mayb i get wrong info...?

Hey guys, i got problem with my BB bold 9000. Everything was ok but since last night i cant seem to go online after connect with the wifi. When i check with the wifi diagnostics the status part says 'ip address no longer valid'. My dads Bb n sisters iPhone can connect to the same network n go online without a problem. Any help guys. I know that BlackBerry Tour 9630 only can sign up for Maxis BIS (it doesn't work for celcom).
Some people say that althought BlackBerry Tour 9630 use Maxis BIS, but the MMS doesn't work is it true?

because I'm trying to choose between BlackBerry Tour 9630 & BlackBerry Bold 9000.

Urgent Help/Advice Needed!

I have a Blackberry curve 8310 model that keeps on giving a white screen with "App Error 523" message. The only other option available was to select "reset" which still end ups the phone restarting back to the same screen. I have tried taking out the battery and for a while then rebooting back the machine but still no improvements.

I could not format the OS as Desktop manager does not detect it as a valid machine. Please help!

Btw, is there anyway to purchase a replacement track ball in KL?
