Hi people, I'm new to this smartphone thingy.

Anyway, I just bought the 5530 recently, and I notice that the phone doesn't have GPS built-in. So is it still possible to have a map software installed? I don't really need GPS, just need some sort of offline maps I can browse when needed.

If so, which application is best recommended for this particular phone?

guys need some help, my 5800 gave me headaches nowadays. Because i'm using digi, my phone keeps on connect to diginet and wasting my credit. i did not apply any settings or install applications lately. what i have to do now is keep on disconnect diginet from my connection manager tab =/ anyone have this trouble before? pls help lol...

2nd problem, the camera is not functioning at all most of the time. i have to get some luck and restart my 5800 to get to the camera mode. sometimes when i press the camera button, he shows the red dot beside the battery bar but no image or frame is coming out.

My Nokia N73ME died during process updating firmware using Nokia Software Updater due to wireless network not stable, then i accidentally shut down my laptop. Now my laptop detected N73ME as unrecognized services, any sifus can tell me which shop in Taman Daya or near Taman Daya provides reflashing services and the charges or where's the nearest Nokia service center and the charges. Your help is much appreciated. Urgent!!!

Planning to buy original nokia 5800 today but the only place I know is lowyat plaza and i dont know which shop to buy from later takut kena tipu

Dear All,

I have download Nokia Garmin Mobile XT as per insruction from http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1190744 and under How to install garmin? Now Garmin is Fully COMPATIBLE WITH TOUCHSCREEN.

Step 1 Download to your computer the Garmin Mobile XT for Symbian S60 3rd Edition, Ver. 5.00.30 from this
here
Step 2 Download to your computer Garmin Mobile XT Free Basemap, Ver. 4.xx.xx from this
here
Step 3 Download to your computer Garmin Mobile XT Support Files, Ver. 4.xx.xx from this
here
Step 4 Download GM-MySInMXT.exe from this link
here
(this is map of Malaysia and you have to be registered before you could access download the map from the site)
Step 5 Connect your Nokia 5800 XM or tube (via mass storage) or memory disk to your computer and make sure it’s detected by your computer.
Step 6 Now, run the recently downloaded files on the computer, one after another, in this order:

1. v4.xx.xxx Support File,
2. v4.xx.xxx Basemap File
3. GMXT v5.00.30
Step 7 Disconnect the memory card/Mass Storage from computer. It’s time to configure Garmin on your phone. Go to your phone’s File Manager >Garmin >Applications >Symbian >RES >GarminMobileXT.sis and install the .sis
Note : If you can’t find GarminMobileXT.sis, check the root directory, it should be there. Install the .sis as per normal.

Step 8 After that, go to Applications> run Garmin Mobile XT. It won’t connect to GPS satelite yet, so just ignore it.
Step 9 You should have received your device unlock code from the manufacturer of Garmin, however if you haven’t, there are instructions on the Internet to guide you on how to get yours wink.gif
Step 10 Copy the device unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as SW.UNL
Step 11 Reconnect your via cable using mass storage.
Step 12 Copy the SW.UNL file into \Garmin\ in your memory card
Step 13 Then, run GM-MySInMXT.exe, and copy gmapsupp.img into \Garmin\
Step 14 Disconnect your phone from your computer.
Step 15 Go to Applications >Garmin Mobile XT >Settings >System >Remote GPS >Select ‘Use Attached/Built-in GPS’ >Enable and it’s all done.
Step 16 Wait for satellite signal to strengthen and then you can start navigating around various places with confidence!

Above is step to install garmin. I have lost at step 8 because device unlock code. I dont understand how to get it. Should this code need to purchse from Garmin side?

Additional, my friend ask me to find me Garmin Keygen. But when i search this Garmin Keygen. It was very complicated and dont know how to download those keygen. Therefore, if any body know how to get it.. Can please teach me? Thanks.

N82, Memory Card not detected

I have a serious prob with my N82, it cannot detect my memory card after some time. And when i try to read using card reader, it cannot be detected in the PC. My PC also hang whenever the memory card is inserted. Now, this happened to my second memory card which i just bought 4 months ago. Can anybody tell me what is happening to my phone? or the memory card? This is driving me crazy. Please help me in this.
