i cant connect my CS 1.6 to internet game~~
when i try to connect it, it stated that "could not retrieve master list"..
wat is d problem?????
can someone tel me?

Be4 this i used winxp, i play ori cs 1.6 just fine. My ping just stable. Yesterday, I installed win7 and when i play cs 1.6, my ping unstable and lag.. 1st like 20+, then suddenly 100+, 90+... Its just happen in-game, when i refresh my favorites list several times, the ping still stable.

So, any solution pleaz..? I dun want to install winxp back just bcoz of cs 1.6...

Okay so I just got my copy of Win 7 downloaded from MSDN.

I have:

1. Downloaded Steam & Installed CS
2. Downloaded new Nvidia drivers
3. Installed drivers for my headset, keyboard, mouse etc.

When I create a "New game" on to test with myself, the game seems to run faster than usual (footsteps, shooting etc)

When I join a server online, everything seems to be okay.

1. My fps is constant 100
2. My ping is 15-20 on Msia servers and 25-35 on SG servers

BUT;
I seem to walk/shoot faster there as well, and I seem to get stuck after every 3-5 seconds for 1 second. Then I'll be able to move again, in that "faster" speed.

I dunno what's wrong.
CS worked fine with my Vista ulti.
I had a friend look at me play and it seemed like I was using a speedhack from his point of view.

I have no idea what's wrong, I've been Googling around as well and it doesn't seem anyone else is facing this...

Edit: I played Assassin's Creed and FIFA just to see if it's my GPU's fault, doesn't seem like it.

PC specs :

C2D E6400 @ 2.13Ghz
3GB Kingston Valuram
XFX 9600GT XXX
Steelseries Siberia USB

Edit #2: I turned vsync on and it's okay now, but I'm stuck with 75fps.
Any help with that? I tried refreshlock and everything

10 years ago we enjoy CS free at CC you will see every server is full 24 hrs 7 days after Sendi Mutiara has take over the business, things start to change. CC are unwilling to forked out addition license fees, as a result they were sued and most have to close down. At the end of the days, many youngster were forced to switch to online or other web games as a result CS wand.

Back in the old days where PLAM ruled, there are many big CS clan mushrooming in Malaysia. But soon, these kids has grown up and are start to blend to society as study and working class. Most clan has disbanded. Remember NBTD, EDTS, SynD, NKAA, Boy3, FMJ, Red, NCT and many more CS clan which faded. Who is killing E-Sport, it is becoming clear what happen when Sendi Mutiara start to mess up with all the CyberCafe like a gangster seeking for protection license fees, they threatened and extort cybercafe owner to pay up the license fees. As a result, most CC find ways to avoid this menace that is to completely remove this game.

There isn't much league happening after FMJ, as most of these leader has quit CS to pursue others interest. The most outrageous thing, there is no CS team to represent Malaysia, which is a shame and is not unexpected. Even Pakistan and Indonesia send some CS team there.

Having a CS team to represent Malaysia is something the CS community can be proud of, but too bad, we are far behind than Singapore. We have the talents but the local authority has denied us our priviledge and rights. We have been denied of alot compare to kids growing up in Singapore. Most of these CS players are chinese, and most of these CC owners are chinese, they see a trend where the CC owners is earning alot from CS, 24 hours and 7 days a week. Sendi Mutiara is an arms or secret police to crushed this. They crushed the CC operator and then these has crushed the local talented kids who frequent the CC to play CS.

In the end, we only have Online CS community but don't have a healthy CS community.

RIP CS.

Hope 2010 we can have a good and healthy CS League back.

Having problem with AMX Mod X, Can anyone help?

Recently I tried adding the AMX Mod X into my CS 1.6, and also the Deathmatch feature.

Before this mine is normal without any mods.

Problems I'm facing:

1. The stats all cannot enable. (Eg: Jason killed nosaj with shots to the blah blah and those lar...)
2. For deathmatch, the starting gun menu don't have (the 1 2 3 wan), meaning still have to buy guns. And when die already, will spawn back at the T/CT spawn.
3. Worst part, I cannot disable deathmatch, so now I reinstall CS again

I asked my friend who has the mod to help, but he also cannot figure out the problem.

Anyone can help?

I heard it is the best of 1.6 + source. Would be good to have a change and bring back the cs community back from the dead. I used to play in wcg years ago, going head on with NO, Nkaa, edts, fmj... Ahhhh those were the days..

I've decided to rent a server, because I think setting up my own server might be troublesome & also it cant keep players inside once i make the server offline.

I would like to know which company provides the best connections from my area. I prefer the lowest latency & also a server that is stable. I would like to ask many of u here that have experience in this Im from KL, I think Singapore servers should be OK.

Anyone can provide infos or websites so that I can find them? I've search on the internet too, most of them are international servers

We're quite new server in CS.16 gaming arena, At Vivace network we want to be the best we can be in counter-strike. We constantly want to improve our skill and tactics while at the same time have fun. Vivace network is a public server and is not owned by a clan, therefore does not have any resident clan. We are just a bunch of friends drawn in together with one passion that is Counter-Strike.

Our server run in competition style which is we only put competition map and setting on it. we dont have any minimaps in our server. At here we made our apologize to thoose player when they meet hacker in server while no admin online. crosshair size, help

For those who plays CS 1.6,

Click 'find server', and open the 'internet' tab.

You'd probably find a server that goes, "Server.TiQ. something something". The latency is quite low.

If you are a good CS player, don't join. The server and his friends are a bunch of sore losers.

Before I got kicked, my kills was about 50... and deaths around 20. For me that's ok already. Unless they expect the "karma" to be like 50 to 50.

Just to warn you guys. So if you happen to join this server, die a lot, kill very little. And laugh at their skills...
