[WTA] Restoring Windows Vista to Factory Default,

Hello, sorry for the noob question. Is there any way to restore my windows vista to factory default? I have all the disk required already i think as dell give it all in the package when i first bought it. But the only problem now is I don't know the steps.. I tried to search about it on the websites but the guides are too hard for me to understand. -.-'' Simple explanation will do please.. Owh btw im using Dell XPS if that helps.. Thanks. my friend owns an acer laptop, 4395 i think. when installing windows 7 ( upgrading), halfway through the installation a blue screen appeared, don't remember what it said. so i tried to restart and enter safe mode to do a system restore, but everytime i try to enter windows normally or safe mode, the blue screen appears. and also the windows 7 setup wouldn't continue. if i use a vista recovery disc ( which i downloaded) would it help resolve the problem without having to lose any files or re-installing a clean copy of windows?

im using vista premium 32 bit, i accidentally deleted all the program files in d start menu.. now i always have to use d long way which is C:/PROGRAM FILES to start any program.. can any1 help me??

after sometime . it will automatic change the view and group to another format. anyone encounter such problem before?

i got 1 complete oem vista home basic set from someone. however, doubt to use it since did'nt know it too much. may someone can advice me whether i suppose to use it o just throw it in to a garbage can.

Hi,i completed download the SP2 but....it said i already got a prerelease version of sp2 installed..but,i cant uninstall all the updates..inside my computer properties it shows SP2 v.113.....i right click it and dont have "Uninstall" come out also.....

hmm...i not sure i got post in wrong place or not....but i feeling like after installed a new windows(vista) my com(Acer4736G)'s keyboard sidebar looks like not working.....i mean the bluetooth,wifi,volume,backup,power saver's botton beside the keyboard....i not sure is windows problem or hardware problem...cause before i format my com i updated my com's BIOS to the latest one....

help me please......

HP_Recovery Partition in vista laptop, izzit relevant to hard disk?

I tried to recover my laptop to the factory setting yesterday,
done it many times via the HP_Recovery Partition and the recovry discs The recovery process is successful.
But window just cannot startup..even I have used the Startup Repair Tool.

I have also done the hard disk self test in BIOS, and everything test pass.

I was told that my recovery disc is corrputed, and so is my HP_Recovery Partition.
I don't understand how is that so. I have tried using the recovery disc b4, around one year ago, and it worked fine.

Since my hard disk check is okay, can I say that there is nothing wrong with my
HP_Recovery Partition? Are both things relevant?

If every test shows that my hard disk & HP_Recovery Partition are okay.
But why can't I start up window?

Please advice!
