hello all

i remembered last time i did change account passbook due to different signature...

then today i found the bank book.. inside got one stamp "cancelled" on the main page
and i cant find the "new" bank book

question is, will they give me back the cancelled bank book ?
hmm

and.. if i make a new book when i lost my account book/cancelled it

will the account number stay the same??
i need to know cos need to send over my account number...

late payment on car loan,

I have to understand everything before i decide to buy a car. so what will happen if i pay late for car loan in a certain month maybe something happens like boss goes bankrupt, or lose all saving due to hackers. and can i pay using credit card?

Question Regarding International Bank Account, I would like to withdraw money from UK

I would like to withdraw my money from UK, but the company is asking for IBAN (International bank account number), SWIFT/BIC (Bank sort code) and Name of Bank.

Is the IBAN (International bank account number) and the one we using for savings account the same?

Or I need to open a new international bank account?

Saving/Protection/Retirement plan, looking for a plan upon retirement

Hi,

I am looking for a plan that offer Saving, protection and retirement plan.

Does anyone know any plan in the market is worth for taking?

I'm 33 years old now, thinking of getting a sum of money during my retirement, not considering investment link as i would try get the minimal risk possible preferably is 0.

Transfer ownership of a shop, need law and bank advice

Hi forumers here,

I would like to seek advice from any lawyer regarding about this transfering ownerships.

The condition right now is like this,

My mom currently owe bank quite some amount of credit card debts as well as 1 personal loan from a bank. at the same time, she owns a shop that the shop is under her name and my bro's name but the bank loaning for the shop is only my brother's name. the problem now is, my mom unable to repay those debts to the bank for quite some time already and currently would like to transfer the ownership shop to under my name.

So is that possible to do so under mym mom situation right now???Will there be any problems while changing the ownerships name now?

I went to bank rakyat to ask for personal loan.. but it seems my company doesn't allow auto-deduction to bank.. and I've checked with the Damansara Utama branch.. and they say there's nothing they can do if my company doesn't allow that.. next week I want to ask the HQ instead.. and see what they have to say..

Anyone out there having the same problem and managed to solve it??

I will be opening a steamboat buffet shop in Rawang. Opened this thread to share ideas and feel free to drop any comments fellow LYN forumer.

Start up cost will be roughly 50k.(Refer to breakdown)

Minor renovation - 15k
Chair & table - 5k
utensils - 10k
Fridge, wok ++ - 10k
Upfront payment, rental ++ - 5k ( The rental is 1500 per month for 2 stories shop lot)
Advertising - 5k

My steamboat buffet restaurant will be open in a less crowded area. Still in the middle of the rawang town but slightly less populated shop because i don't wana see my patron having problem finding parking. So in this case, advertising is very important!!!!

p/s: This will be the 1st time i start doing a business. So would like to know what is the most important thing to make a steamboat buffet business success? ISIT the variety of the food or price? Any particular food not to be miss in steamboat?

A guy want to invest something to make big money who do not like to work hard everyday, prefer get passive income.
what does he/she can do? involve in business?
what investment is good in short term/ medium term?

options:
1. FD in bank ( which is safe but dint get anything because of inflation)
2. insurance ( it take long period but invest in insurance is a bad investment, dint expect much return on it)
3. unit trust
4. stock market
5. forex ( most interested 1, which too risky)
6. start own business
7. invest in other corporate co. as a partner
8. real estate investment ( have some money only consider)

I have an Alliance Bank CCs back to 2004. The expiry date is 2008. I am entitled to free lifetime annual fee.

The card expired at 2008, then they send me the new cards, which I decided not to activate it.

Will I still be considered having these CCs?

What will you do with videos shot by your Canon HF S10 or other camcorder, digital camera? Make full use of your cell phone like iPhone, Window Mobile if you don't take camera. With Flash Video MX Std, you can easily publish your holiday videos to your site or blog and invite your family and friend to watch your videos

Step 1. Add video
No matter you have standard definition video like MOD from JVC GZ-MG630, Panasonic SDR-S26, Canon FS200, or high definition video like TOD from JVC GZ-HD30, AVCHD (*.mts, *.m2ts) from Canon HF S11, HF S10, you can load videos to Flash Video MX Pro Std for HD video conversion to Flash.
