I try to googled this and it doen't help, and to make it worst, no reply mail from technical support at Panda Security.

I am using Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2008 with Vista Ultimate and an application crash keep happening everytime I am on9.
My computer freezes for more than 4 minutes.
It is said to come from avengine.exe and gives off msg "enhanced on-access anti-malware protection has stop working"

Before this,I'm using Panda Antivirus 2007 and it works fine.
I requested help from Panda Security Malaysia but they only reply something like this:

I'm brilliant enough to turn off windows defender & firewall when installing other antivirus,
so requested another help from panda but till today, no reply.
I tried calling but can't always get through, stup answering machine.

So,does anyone here know how to fix this?
it's nerves wrecking now since I always need the net.

*Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2008 doesn't seem to hav prob in XP.

last time i using free avg 8.0 anti virus,,,due to low security i bought kaspersky 2009 during recent pc fair.

but my problem...i already uninstall avg8.0 but kaspersky cant install due to its still detect avg 8.0. i already
search all file avg and delete it, but same problem occur.

how do i solve this problem, before that i use my antivirus system is kaspersky 7.0. (my kaspersky antivirus is up to date) i scan my pendrive that the infected file called microsoft powerpoint.exe

when i restart my computer my antivirus cannot acess, registry editor & task manager also... It says has been disable by my administartor... but my account is already computer administrator ...

There are a multitude of Free Anti Virus softwares around on the Internet...

some example are :

AVG
Avast
AntiVir
ClamAV
and many others...

Many of these free anti virus programs are better than resource hungry NAV and McAfee which sometimes consume more resources than the viruses itself...

Tell us your experience, which are the best ones... fastest ones.... least resource hungry...

My first experience / comment is : the new AVG 8.0 is slower than AVG 7.5... anybody notice it ?
