Just installed Kaspersky KIS 2010. Immediately after that my downloads in IDM are slow, I could only get maximum 50 KB/s when normally I would get 120 KB/s. What settings do I have to tweak?

yesterday...on facebook...
im getting msg from my fren....a file video..but when i ask..he mentioned didnt send the video link as msg...

when i click..it prompt to install something...when i click to install...came out icon like hp..or hewlett packard....and manage to find the things....

and came across this things dlcxcfg.exe ...dlcxcoms.exe...and dlcxih.exe...is this a virus?..

and below the image or the icon appeared after clicking to prompt the video its symbolised HP and called id15.exe...do you guys know these?...TQ

Hey there,
Just got a question to throw.. and i would really appreciate some help on this..
Ive been using Kaspersky Internet Security for my PC for the past 3 years and it's really good. I've also got a MAC and I'm thinking of the getting an antivirus solution for my MAC too... Any suggestions on what antivirus i should opt for? I heard that Kaspersky just came up with a version for MAC.. Has anyone tried it?

Please help me recover my KIS2009 serial key.,

Hi, I'm currently using symantec endpoint protection 11 (bah.. symantec) but I'll need an outbound program control, which I cannot find from it's setting.

Anyone can recomend some light firewall (preferably free) for that purpose?

Even better, anyone can tell me how to configure individual program control at port 80, for SEP 11.

Hi all, i have problem since few days...when my pc infected with couple of viruses...all damn virus..

1: the security tools thingy...but i solve to remove it already, google it...

2: the Malwarebyte anti malware still on my pc installed.. remove the security tools and etc.

3: My anti virus im using, AVIRA personal. turns to be problem all time. well i uninstalled it..

4: i format MY hdd.. and downgrade to vista now. everything runs smooth with the malwarebyte and trial version of kaspersky,
BUT STILL it detects trojan and other virus. ) IS THIS NORMAL???

5: i get fedup with it already, and i admit that i dont really know about security and anti virus all this while , but now i wanna get serious about this VIRUS!!! and wanna get rid of them and monitor all of it at once and all the time..

6: PLEASE ADVISE ME what ANTI VIRUS/INTERNET SECURITY TO USE... (IM PLANNING TO BUY IT RETAIL BUT NOT THE EXPENSIVE ONE LAH. hehehe ) SO HELP ME GUYZZ...till now my pc is still stock mode, no games and anything, juz browsing coz i wanna get kicking with the viruses 1st, then ill back to my gaming stuff

How to turn off network discovery ?, Cant find the function in XP.

I managed to turn off network discovery in my laptop VISTA. It is connected to AP.

Then,
I use my PC.
But when i wan turn off my PC network discovery, i cant manage to find where the button is.
My pc is XP. I not sure the AP is XP or Vista.

Help pse... Does that means, both windows not compatible ?

Is malwarebytes free to use ?, On demand scanning ....

Hi guys,

I just got my new laptop and I need to get a new antivirus before the two month trial from Norton expires. I was wondering if anyone could recommend me the best free antivirus program?

I also noticed that more and more people are purchasing Karpesky (sp?) anti-virus. Is it a yearly purchase or a once in every five years sort of purchase?

Sorry if my questions seem noobish but I have been out of touch regarding computer security and only opted for another antivirus since AVG is beginning to charge.

personally i've tried the free version a-squared, it gave me no problem though not really that effective that time
i would say no harm registering (like me usually with a few email addresses specifically for registering at spam-skeptical sites) for a free 1 year license
if really don't like it, u lose nothing other than 10 minutes spent registering and downloading

My kaspersky keeps picking it up in alot of sites, even un-pirate and un-adult sites, kaspersky Blocked it, or so it says, since my kaspersky picked up this virus, my computer has been slow, and it doesnt show it in the RAM or running in the background.

Post your experience with this virus or advice in protecting against it.

F-Secure has announced the Updater and Tuneup Technology Preview 1.00 (build 907) on Thursday, November 05, 2009. This Technology Preview monitors your system for vulnerable applications and allows you to know when updates are available guiding you to a solution. In addition, the Technology Preview allows you to speed up and clean up your computer from unnecessary software.

No key codes are required for installing F-Secure Updater and Tuneup Technology Preview. The installer includes both components. To participate in the Technology Preview, you can register at the Updater & Tuneup Technology Preview program page.

Here is some known issues for this Technology Preview:
• Supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista. Not supported on Windows 7.
• If you have any F-Secure security product installed, please make sure it is F-Secure Internet Security 2010 or the latest Internet Security Technology Preview.
• Restart is required after the installation.
• Updater and Tuneup has to be uninstalled separately.
