The HD 555 open, dynamic stereo headphones feature a special internal surround reflector. It generates an extended, spatial sound field, making feel as if you are listening from a pair speakers. Very comfortable because it is wear over the ears.

It is rated at 50 Ohm which is not that high and can be use with dedicated PC sound card (which I do use it on PC quite frequently) but recommended to use it with proper stereo amp like Yamaha or Marantz or good dedicated headphones amp to get the best sound from it. Reminder that Ipod don't have enough power to use this headphone.

I have been using it for more than 6 months and decided to upgrade to AKG K 701 for even better sound stage and details.
