Nanofluid in Heatpipe, Still in research

Hi guyz.

Currently I doing a project regarding to computer cooler (passive cooling). The main objective in the project is to replace current fluid in the heatpipe (mostly passive coolers have) with nanofluid. The nanofluid I can order directly from US.

I need some help from you guys for certain things.

First, what the best cooler (with heatpipe) I should test since this project need to do quite a lot of experiment to achieve some results.

Second, does the diameter of the heatpipe influence the performance?

Third, is there any local distibutor or supplier that I can cooperate with to do this project?

I think thats all I need help for now. Will updates if got added information.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome here.

Not sure if this is the right thread but just wanna ask some question

To all sifu in water cooling, I'm gonna a build a new system and is interested in water cooling (1st time)

Went to lowyat and ask about it, a guy in pc zone recommend me buy Gigabyte 3D Mercury liquid cooling system (around rm1300)

So i went back and did some research, overall found out that it is consider as low-tier water cooling

Should i go with it or just stick with air cooling? My main reason for water cooling is for oc and noise reduction

Is there any water cooling kit easy for me to assemble, noob in this area but willing to learn

Pls give some advice, my budget around rm1.5k including casing. Thanks

Hey, I hope you guys can help me out. This is my first time Vmodding and I would like to know if there's anything I should know before Vmodding like the current voltages and what not.

Hi, I need volunteers(3~8 people) for a coolant im making, its currently in the beta phase, meaning I have already tested it, however, if there is more feedbacks, it would be better right?, basically, its a pump lubricator, deposit prevention(calcium), corrosion inhibitor, and anti-algae/bacteria/fungal, and it mixes into distilled water as an concentrate. Conductivity is somewhat not as conductive as coolants bought commercially(TT,Giga, feser, fluidXP) but like all coolants, it will be a lil more conductive when you contaminate the loop. I will be more accurate as soon as I can get the results from the lab, I dont wanna be sued now dont I

I will send a test sample for qualified volunteers for testing in their current loop, the samples should be ready by 2 weeks or so, and one bottle should mix up with distilled water for up to 1.5L of coolant ( you only need 500ml or so for a loop)

Specs when mixed with distilled water:
Ph6.8~7
Non corrosive to PVC, copper, alu, acetal, delrin, plastic, and stuff commonly found in a setup.

* White paper for ingredients used, lab report will be provided if you are selected *

Currently im testing it myself, however, more feedback/scenarios is welcomed

and processor heat 42 degree...

I am a student who is just planning to do some cheap diy water cooling set for a school's it week.. I had already got evrything planned but I totally got no idea how to build a water block for a processor...
Pls be more senseful and don't expect me to cut metal n those thing...

This is cut here n cut there.. .swt...

The water block doesn't have to be a performance 1 , just nice enough to last 1 for week will do.. It also doesn't need to fit in lga775 slot.... just perfectly sticked on the processor will do...

I also need some opinions on the other parts....
I will use a normal small pail as a reservoir , two cheap aquarium pump, a weird radiator(pls refer to the bottom)...

Weird radiator..
I am planning to use a rectangular shallow type pail as a container for the radiator. A few old heat sinks will be half submerged into the water.. Fans will be mount on the heat sinks.. Heat sinks will be tightly tapped in the container.

Arrangement of my diy wc...
Reservoir > Pump > radiator > pump > water block ( i need two pump because i am nt going to drill a hole in the reservoir n radiator, i will just let the pipe submerged inside it n let the pump to pump water...)

1 of my friend susgested me to use ice n ignore the radiator, but i scare condensation will occur in the mob... dunno what can i do to avoid it ... those others method is so weird n "pro"(difficult /swt)..

PLEAse don't laugh at me because i am a person who totallly don't have any skill on modding/making this kind of thing... this is also my first project.. ...

Don't see a topic for this new thing. Electromagnetic pump to move the liquid around the pipes, so there are no actual moving parts. Looks like a new and interesting tech.

I am getting a new rig but i am not very sure with the cooling stuff so i decided to create this thread..

BUDGET IS 1300 including casing.. Casing preferable a mid casing lian li..

Before i start this I would like to ask a question first..

1) will i void my gc warranty if i replace with third party cooler?
2) will i void my processor and proc. heat sink warranty if thermal paste n lapping is used on them.
My estimate spec .

1) Q6600 overclock - 3.0 GHZ .. if can?
2) not sure .. preferably a gigabye 550 dolar model.. forgot name.
3) 4870 - ati mini oven don't feel good overclocking it..

No wc pls ... Pls recommend stuff which is available in lowyat..

Pls include the folowing item in ur recommendation

1) NB heat sink
2) processor hs (if lapping is voiding the warranty ... pls choose hs which are nicely cut by machine ) ..... n pls don't block the damn ram slot.. going 4 gb
3) casing
4) FAn adjust according casing..
5) Graphc card third party heat sink only if warranty is not voided..
6) thermal paste if warranty is not voided ^.^
7) capacitor heat sink

Cases fan to be installed to blow into the cases or installed to pull the air from inside out, which will be more effective in term of thermal solution?

im using core temp to check my temperature

its super hot afternoon

yesterday at night it was jus 9 - 11 degree celcius

core temp memang cacat or wat????

my graphic card is at 45-49 at idle

amd system cant use realtemp

using gemim2 btw in aircon room which is set at 26 degrees celcius

care to explain the pros...cuz my fren said it is like lower than genting -.-

or recommend me some other software to monitor temp n ill post results
