First occurence of problem: 1st day of receiving the modem..huhu
Problem frequency: every half an hour at least
Problem description: well, when i plug my modem, it detect usb connected to my pc. but not the software inside the modem. after i formatted my pc, there no problem with the modem at all. then, after some time usually 15 - 30 min after connection been made, the connection software said that it doesn't detect my wireless modem but the LED on my modem still on!!! it a little confusing isn't it??? plz help me!!!!

Problem description: I using router to connect to the Internet. The modem i just reset and the ip is 1.1 Router i use 88.1 as ip address. The router is successfully connected to the internet. When i open the browser or MSN, it can't get into the website. MSN there showing DNS and Port got problem. If i enter again the web address in web browser again, the browswer will hang. My friend help me to test at his place, it show no problem. But when it move to here, problem occured. Will it effect by the area?

hye.
im stuck here.
try to set up wireless to multiple laptop with old skol modem.
i connect that modem to wireless router,
so when all the laptop are connected to the wireless network created,
only 1 laptop can online, which means that only laptop which is dialing to the internet can connect to the internet.

what i try here is, all pc can be connect to the internet at the same time.

FYI, this old skool modem doesnt have configuration interface,
im using software called DSL Commander to login to modem setting.

When i connect using billion 5112s my bitcomet can get speed up to 200kbs.
but once i use the dlink modem top speed is only 50kps.
Why is it so?

Dear all experts,

I just bought a D-Link DIR451 so could use wirelessly with my Celcom 3G USB but I could not get it connect/setup. Sorry but have no experience in router at all, this is my first time using.

I on the router, then connect notebook wi-fi to it, then type the 192.168.0.2 setup page. Follow the setup wizard as follow:

Step 3:
Country - Malaysia
ISP - Celcom
Card List - Huawei E220 (USB)
WWAN password (only check - can't uncheck)

Step 4:
WWAN Username: Blank
WWAN Password: shows a lot of dots
WWAN Server Name: Blank
WWAN Dial Number: *99#
WWAN APN: celcom3g

After that I just connect the Celcom modem to the router USB connector.

But when try to connect wi-fi to it to the internet, it could not connect.

Please please help, where do I did wrong? What's WWAN password - not recall seeing it, should I clear all the dots in the default? Tried but same thing.

mu fren ady split this modem with a normal lan router..then this 1 fren of mind plug a wireless router from it.
so wat i wan to do is to prevent this wireless router to connect w multiple computer instead just 1 comp..
can or not leh?

any settings in BILLION modem can do that...any sifu could help?

[COLOR=blue]Before this, my router modem DLINK 2640T still working ok as usual. It will auto connect to the internet access with the default setting of the modem. But after next day, the modem suddenly cannot auto-connect to the internet access. But the ADSL light still lighting.....So, i have to change to Bridge connection instead of using PPPoE/PPPoA connection. Anyone know what is the problem ???

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to a game server in Thailand, I tried accessing its website but it could not. However,I can ping it and getting good latency and stuff, when I go in-game and connect,it's like the server doesn't exist or doesn't allow incoming connection. Even using proxy sites like YouHide or HideMyBox is useless. My friends can connect to it but I could not.

For websites, it says "Connection Timed Out"

For in-game server, it says "Unable to connect to server" or "Connecting...." And it doesn't move on.

I'm not sure should I post this here,
actually it's my doubt regarding port forwarding..
I'm using router to connect to internet.
but I'm kind of confuse bout the port forwarding,
do I need to configure port forwarding when I need to enable a particular port??

I tested using outlook express,
I did not apply any rule in the port forwarding option.. (pic 1)
and then i configure my outlook,
my outgoing mail port number set to 587, and incoming is as normal port 110 (pic 2)
and I have no problem at all to send and receive mail.
that means I don't need to do port forwarding and port 587 and 110 is enabled.

however, why I need to do port forwarding for my bittorrent and lancraft?
just don't understand...
hope someone can clarify for me

(btw, i did a port forward but im not sure is it work, anyway i can test it under command prompt?)

Hi all....i bought this modem last week
i have done all the setting...but still cant connect to the internet...
the satus page appear WAITING TO RESPONE all of the time..
and i also following the instruction using run wizard to set..
VPI = 0
VCI = 35
Connection type = PPOE LLC
Enable uPnP..
Modulation = ADSL2+ Multi mode

the status light blinking, ADSL light stable..i also take the modem back to the shop to try it..it WORk..still using my account..
the weired is i try another modem that tm provide me using dial up it can connect to the internet..
i try another way using this modem d-link, connection using BRIDGE mode..also can connect too~~
i had call TM technical support..check my line, also restart my adsl line..the problem still the same..
who can help me?

Hi guys... need a little help here.

My company got 4 branch in malaysia and KL is the HQ. We all communicate via email to inform latest infos.
Me at Perak got internet connection with fix ip and it will be linked to HQ first and then to internet (www).

Meaning that got so much website that HQ will blocked like storage website, you tube and etc. So how i overcome this matters, oh i know is against our office law but it will be nice if we can pass thru the HQ after office hour. Please advice and help.

i turn on windows' Internet Connection Sharing to others by my laptop wifi

the problem is:
i only wanna share the connection to a laptop with ip 192.168.0.2 but not to others

Hi all,

Does anybody know how to configure the Zyxel P660HW-T1 v2 Wireless ADSL Router to accept Windows' Remote Desktop Connection from remote location?

I've setup DynDNS on my desktop but when I try to ping to my desktop I get request time out. I've set the Vista machine firewall to allow RDC & Port TCP 3389. Any other setting I need to do? Am stuck at the wifi router side because am not familiar with firewall setting in the console interface.

Appreciate any suggestion as am clueless now.

Windows XP Not Saving ICS Settings after Reboot,

I've noticed that every time i reboot my windows xp sp3, the other person that im sharing my connection with cant get connected to the internet later. So when this happens, i have to use the ICS wizard to setup my pc to being a ICS host again. I have to do this every time i reboot or after i power back my pc.

How do i fix this?

I have been set 0 - 35, llc, username password entered and reboot modem.

The modem still unable to dial up but i can go Internet by connect to cable and dial up in pc.
