Touch pad my macbook Alu problem?,

Hi there,

I'm using Macbook Alu late 2008 but unfortunately when i'm using the touch pad.....sometimes my browser will bigger automatic when i'm move it...

Btw, my Macbook still in warranty, if can claim, where supposed i go?

MBP Wifi Issue.., If wired, works fine but not on wifi..

I just bought this MBP less than a week & my problem started with this Wifi.

Safari would not connect even though AirPort indicated a connection. But it works fine if on wired..

What could be the problem? Plz help. Worst..i started to regret bought MBP.

Hi,

Just wondering is it possible to get the AppleCare Protection Plan from Amazon? They're currently selling for (after conversion) RM600. While resellers in malaysia sell it for min RM840. I'm not sure but I'm thinking since the protection plan is not hardware, so they might not have restrictions on it as they do on buying Macbook for non US markets.

Anyone knows something about this may please enlighten us.

Hi guys,
need some help here. Apparently, my Bluetooth icon has gone to "Not available".

Tried restarting few times and sometimes it works and sometimes don't.

System profiler says my Bluetooth "Not available" as well.

Any suggestions Wei?

Hi everyone

Was wondering what products you use to clean your mac and how do you clean it.

I know its been covered previously on other posts but there's one item i dont see being discussed.

Just to compare, the Iklear is RM 88, the quality i believe is vouched by many,

and there is now there is this product called Topper LCD Cleaning Screen Kit, RM 35

Anyone has used it ? care to share their thoughts on the Topper product ?

[wta] AutoCAD 2009 & 3d Studio Max, Licensing Issues

hey all sifus out there,

im currently using a mpb 15" (late 08) and it runs on leopard and windows xp pro 32bits. i need to use AutoCAD and 3ds Max on a quite regular basis. after installing these two softwares, i use the keygen to generate the serial number for me to activate it OR use it for 30days on trial. my problem here is, everytime i change OS (using bootcamp), since AutoCAD and 3ds Max can only b used on windows, everytime i use Mac, and logs back to Windows OS, these two software expires, even when 30days are not up yet. i have to do clean uninstallation and install them again to use them. this gets pretty tiring after awhile althou i have kinda memorized how to delete all the files to do clean uninstallation - without this step, it will still b considered expired even after re-installation.

sumone told me before it might b due to the 'time difference' on both my OS. for exp: i have experienced the time display on my OS are incorrect when i change OS. i dont know what causes this.

has anyone encountered this issue? hopes sumone out there knows how to resolve this issue. that wud b a GREAT help.

In my network preferences my blue airport icon and yellow firewire icon is fine.

Well I used Windows Live Writer all along before I migrated to Mac OS X
But now on the Mac OS X, the only potential alternative is Blogo, but it seems like Blogo is having problems linking my pictures to full size images

[Old]may i know where can i get the working driver, trying download through the realtek official website High definition Audio driver, not working one! it can detect and show "This device is working properly", it looks like working fine, but no sound output :s, so weird. i am using Mac mini core duo 1.66ghz version. i got the bootcamp 1.3 but dun have mac os, so not be able to make the driver cd. anyone can send me a working driver thanks a lot! [old]

First thanks to Prasys, coz he suggested to use the "TransMac" software, so that i can solved this problem shortly.

Tools to use :

7zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ Extract .PAX files.

TransMac - http://www.asy.com/ use to extract .dmg format, free trial 15 days fully function.

guideline here:

Open the bootcamp.dmg with TransMac, browse deep on this path below:

Install Boot Camp Assistant.mpkg\Contents\Resources\BootCampAssistant.pkg\Contents

then you will get one file name called Archive.pax.gz , then i used 7zip to extract it, after that i got Archive.pax then use 7-zip extract again, and then browse on this path Archive\Applications\Utilities\Boot Camp Assistant.app\Contents\Resources, then will see a file name called DiskImage.dmg, but unfortunately, i used the TransMac to open it, it cannot show the details, it came out error No Mac HFS volumes found, so i figured out other way, under TransMac i right click the name DiskImage.dmg and select Expand then Save the file name as DiskImage.iso., after that it generated an ISO files. I used nero to burned it to a CD. and insert to my Mac Mini which is runing the windows 7 Operating system, at first i clicked the RunSetup.exe it pop a message said only support on vista or XP. so i right click---property choose compatible to windows vista, and select "Run as administrator" , wow! it's running and all drivers works and sound came out from the Mac mini. if can will try to upload the screen shot for easy understanding. noob in writing guideline, any problem, can discuss over here thanks!

psystar is the company that sells computers with mac osx installed way cheaper than macs themselves. and who says that macs arent overpriced? i kind of hate mac for its monopolying practices such as installing their software on only apple-based computers. what if one day microsoft said bootcamping windows is illegal? that will kill apple entirely.

What's interesting is that Time Capsules/AirPorts/Superdrives are now covered up to 5 years! (Eg: purchase TC in 2007, buy a Mac with AppleCare in 2009, TC covered until 2012). GUI support for Mac Mini with OS X Server is also a great addition as I think there's gonna be lots of homes+small businesses that use these Minis, so the server admins won't have to worry much about troubleshooting via terminal anymore.

With this change in coverage I really don't think it's necessary to think twice about getting AppleCare for your Mac
