Hi.

Had no such problems before.
Stopped playing since hard drive need some clean up.

Recently I installed the game again.
Then installed it accordingly;

QUOTE

1. Install 2142
2. Patch to 1.40
3. Install Northern Strike
4. Patch to 1.40 again
5. Finally, install 1.50

I can play it on default video setting.
Once I set it at 'High', restart the game; punkbuster happens.

1. Run PBsetup
2. Add BF2142 to PB list
3. Click on "Check for updates"

Run pbsvc.exe to reinstall Punkbuster.

hey guys, sry if im supposed to post this in the Heroes thread but i think it would be more appropriate to post it here..

Are there going to be any clans hosting a Malaysian server for Battlefield: Heroes anytime soon? since our Internet connection with overseas are pretty bad and the nearest server that we can connect to is Aussie rite? correct me if im wrong. Cuz all the players here get massive lag and disconnections all the time.

Battlefield 2 Update v1.50 is almost here

After nearly a year of development and three public beta tests Battlefield 2 v1.50 is ready for release. The update will be released on Tuesday 1st September at 5pm UK, 6pm Europe. Stay tuned for release announcement in the near future!

As part of Update 1.50 we are glad to announce that not only is Highway Tampa now a required install included in the update but Euro Forces (Great Wall, Taraba Quarry and Operation Smoke Screen) and Armored Fury (Midnight Sun, Operation Harvest and Operation Road Rage) is now FREE for all Battlefield 2 players. Including the brand new map, Operation Blue Pearl this brings EIGHT new maps that everyone can play and will be added to ranked Battlefield 2 servers world wide. The Booster Pack content is included in the update and has made the file just over 2Gb in size.

- Additional support for Windows Vista.
- Added Highway Tampa as a required map.

Hi guys,
long time no post here.
anyway, i noticed certain IP add will give good pings on gamearena (<200)
at the moment I can only get IPs 60.50.xxx.xx or 124.xx.xxx.xx. ping sucks, cant get in any server.

soooo................. if you can currently get in gamearena, can you check your IP and post here please.

also, unable to update Nvidia driver. keep getting "device not found msg". 6600GT (mobile/laptop)

Battlefield 2142 question., settings can't save in offline mode.

hi, i just bought battlefield 2142 recently, but when i m playing offline mode, all of the video, audio, gameplay settings can't save. after i adjust the setting & quit the game, i start the game again. but the settings go back to default. anyone know this?

During financial presentation, EA COO John Pleasants reveals DICE is already hard at work on a new installment in the shooter franchise, due sometime during publisher's next fiscal year.

Though it helped put the military first-person shooter multiplayer on the map, Electronic Arts' Battlefield franchise has seen itself outsold by the Call of Duty series in recent years. Granted, 2005's Battlefield 2 was a hit--selling over 1 million units in the US, according to the NPD Group--as was its console spin-off, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, which sold 1.2 million units domestically on the Xbox 360, Xbox, and PlayStation 2. However, 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the overall best-selling game of 2007, and has sold over 8 million units domestically (according to NPD) and over 15 million units worldwide (according to Activision).

Battlefield 2 was a hit--will Battlefield 3 also find glory?

Now, with the release of archrival Activision's Modern Warfare 2--developed by former EA employees at Infinity Ward--looming, EA is planning a comeback in the military shooter sector. Speaking at the William Blair & Company investor conference this week, EA COO John Pleasants revealed that, in addition to this year's sequel to the critically lauded, multiplatinum Battlefield: Bad Company, EA is planning a new installment in its core Battlefield franchise.

"We have a lot of IP in that [shooter] area, and we have not not noticed that Call of Duty has a significant share of that business," Pleasants told analysts during a question-and-answer session. "We are putting a real concentrated effort behind those titles. Battlefield happens to be one of them…I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE over in Sweden. I was highly impressed by the way the people were working on that product. That's not for this fiscal year [ending March 31, 2010], but that is a product that is looking very good."

After saying that the download-only Battlefield 1943 has been "selling well," he said the Battlefield franchise is "strengthening and moving to a service model, and it has multiple titles within it which we can lever off of, so I am bullish on the Battlefield franchise, but it's not our only title which we are hoping to gain share with in the shooter category." He offered the forthcoming third-person shooter Army of Two: The 40th Day as another title that would court shooter fans.

Battlefield Online - built for the korean market as they seem to have some fascination with online shooters.
Suppose to be out later this year, doubt will have worldwide release.

Built on the Battlefield 2 engine, BFO will pit US forces against Russia in a Middle Eastern setting, with up to 64 players supported at any one time. And...that's about where the details end, because EA and local team Neowiz are playing stingy with the announcements, promising to drip-feed stuff like unit info over the next few months.

back onto topic, the Battlefield 2 6v6 ladder is using a infantry mod developed by the well know Charlie"LandaXe"Weaver, to sum it up

-6v6 format.

-65 tickets each side to start.

-halftime when a teams tickets are reduced to 0 after which teams will swap sides and begin with 65-65 tickets, the winner is the team with most tickets overall.

-no revives, medkits allowed.
