what to do with used piano?,

i dunno where to ask or where to refer to...

i have a used piano and i'm no longer learning to play the piano nor do i have any interest in playing the piano, so its basically a white elephant at my house rit now...
so,
i'm wondering what can i do with the used piano. it probably needs some tuning and probably around 10 years old now.

can i sell it? is there store or place that buys used piano?

does anyone know?

Shure SM57 mic to laptop recording, what do I need, Pre-amp required? Special cable?

Hi sifu-sifu all,

I have a new Shure SM57 mic, and I want to do recording on my laptop mic jack. I've got a low-impedence in/high-impedence out XLR to quarter-inch (guitar amp plug) converter. But if I use another converter to convert to the small plug in my laptop, the sound vlume is very low and noisy. As I understand, its because the line-in voltage on music amps and my laptop is very different, so I need a pre-amp? Is this correct, do I need a pre-amp to record mic to laptop? Where can I find a good and affordable (couple of hundred) pre-amp?

Should I be memorizing or practicing any particular songs?

Looking to purchase a keyboard but need input, Range of RM2000- RM3000

Hello people,

My girlfriend is looking to purchase a keyboard but before that I need input from you people here who has experience with the keyboards first.

She plays the piano so what she wants is something that resembles a piano in sound. It must not be very artificial/synthetic sounding. I don't think the amount of different sounds matters a lot to her although it might be a bonus. But the most important point will be the piano portion of the keyboard.

She's hoping that the keyboard comes with weighted keys but I told her I've never seen a keyboard around the RM2000 - RM3000 range that comes with weighted keys.

So anyone here have any recommendations?

What guitar pickups are good drive sound ?, Need suggestions on guitar pickups.

Hi guys,
I'm just finding out a little more about guitar pickups. Planning on changing my guitar pickups but don't know which one to pick since there is too many.
I have an Ibanez Gio and currently still with its original pickups. The guitar is S-S-H, so I'm planning to change the Humbucker.

I saw quite a number of pickups but I'm a little worried that it will hum or give some different noises because I really don't want unwanted noises on my guitar. Currently my guitar gives me a good feel and doesn't give any unwanted noises, but wanna change the pickups to be a little more rock.

My style of playing is rock, so I want a pickup which is good for rock but not the really hard rock type. I like the drive sound like the Christian band's like Planet Shakers. I don't want it to sound bad when I'm playing power chords. Any suggestion and some tips ?
